Xi’an is the ancient capital of 13 different dynasties, including the two golden ages the Han and Tang dynasties. Luoyang is the other ancient capital also of 13 dynasties. Ancient capitals include Guangzhou (Nanyue Kingdom 南越古國founded by Zhao Tuo 趙佗，a general from the Qin Dynasty, which also started the 1000 year rule of Vietnam till the Tang Dynasty), Hangzhou, Kaifeng, Nanjing, and now Beijing. Handan 邯鄲 was another ancient capital.

It would be different for all situations but for our 23 days the total was between £10000 and £12000, this includes everything flights, hotels, attractions, food, etc. you could easily spend less than half that if you are on a budget, probably even a third. I do plan on doing a full “what did it cost” video in the future once the series has finished.

Other than the two at the ice cream shop, no problems at all. The app is so easy to use you either let them scan you QR code or you scan their QR code to pay for things. I was really worried before coming to China that I would run into problems but luckily everything went smoothly. Have a great trip.

The taxi issue was because that where you stayed was too close to the train station, normally it's very easy and cheaper to take the metro to go to the train station(3 or 4 stops). So the Didi drivers think it's not worthy to drive that “short” distance. But anyway, you made it and congrats!
