When I studied at University of HK in early 80's, I have impression of seeing this castle when I took the bus passing by Bonham road. I thought this castle is a historical site, because there was no sign of anyone living inside. Few years later after I graduated, I did not see this castle again when I occasionally returned back to HKU and passed by Bonham road. I remembered there was a lawn in front of the castle.

My schoolmate was the granddaughter of EU! I had been there! She grew up in a castle! Very Cool! Nice to see the castle again!

Do you still in contact with her? A friend of mine got some collectables of Euston and would like to know more information regarding them. Is there anyway to contact her?
Yes, I remember this one as well as the one in Repulse Bay. They were so classic and elegant. I enjoyed watching them when my bus went by, always wanted to get a glimpse of them. Good old days.
I have been to the Bonham Road castle many times. This belonged to the Eus family. It was indeed a very beautiful castle with exquisite taste. However, it was rumoured that the castle was a spooky one...😱😱 Ie..the iron knight which is now placed at the Eu Yan San Central shop...I was told it moved around at night.

This castle looks phenomenal. Government should maintain historical building for tourists to explore inside.

This style of building is usually called Château, too bad it was demolished rather than preserved to be a museum. The Biltmore Estate in the US was also built in Château style by the Vanderbilt, is now a Hotel and Museum, still run by the Vanderbilt family

yes, Chateau is more appropriate. i simply think it may be more reader friendly to use castle. 😅
