I remember listening to it on the radio growing up in the 60's. At that time, it's mostly story telling. I used to lie in bed listening to those stories sung out, and refusing to get out of bed!
Thank you for bringing this to light . I was born in 1950 in Hong Kong. I remember this very well. I can truly appreciate it now. Sorry that i don't have a Chinese keyboard.

I sincerely expect an opportunity to say sorry to ‘Nam Yum’ Master Tao Woon in person if he is still with us, due to I’d been enjoying the ‘night life of Yung Shu Tau /Temple St.’ when living nearby from 60’s-80’s, roughly being there 4-5 times a week, as I thought Tao Sifu was just either a beggar or junkie, and didn’t know he’d had the glorious moments over the ‘Nam Yum’ contribution already , as I heard another Sifu ‘ Ho Sun’ (Park wor) was mentioned frequently on the radio while playing Nam Yum mostly from 10am-12 noon in the 50’s. Master Tao Woon passed away in the same year as my Oldman.. in 1979 that was detailed by our respected Uncle Coffee,There were Nam Yum in the morning, and ‘San Hoi Ching Lui’ during midnight, ( not sure if from the same or different stations with RHK & Comm. R.) very famous programs back then. I wasn’t a great fan of those features, as Just a kid, forced to listen as the neighbour next door turned on the radio almost 18-20 hours a day. Thanks so much to UC and makes me know more about legendary Master Tao Woon’s ‘roller-coaster ‘past as a person with unfortunate visually impaired.
