I just received the watch for Christmas. Overall I was really happy the first couple of days. However, I started to notice major issues. Every time I open Amazfit watch app I'm aggressively prompted to grant Contacts permissions. I also disabled Phone permissions. I DO NOT USE CALL NOTIFICATIONS. however the Pace Watch is prompting me that I receive calls, each and every time. The app somehow overrides the granted permissions. THIS IS A MAJOR vulnerability in ANDROID Security and a shady approach for Xiaomi/Amazfit. I can only stop receiving call notifications when in Airplane mode on the Pace. Not to mention the terrible support for 3ed party services such as Google Fit. Still, I got 2 updates since I bought it. Looking foreword for a more transparent approach and further integration with other services for the EU market. This is not China.

Fine for those who don't do actual exercise, enjoy fiddling with technology and love self-affirmation. My step counter picked up more steps when I was playing Xbox than it did when I was outdoors. I spent more time updating it and reading blogs to sort out problems, than I did wearing it. And after 2 weeks, just the sweat from my wrist was enough to corrode the internals and kill it. No waterproofing is a glaring omission for a so-called 'sport' watch.

I really like the idea of this smartwatch, but the software/support puts me off. I would like a smart watch with integrated GPS and some storage for music like this one (or the gear fit 2). Battery life seems great, i like the design, but i'm hearing there's a lot of bugs. And the fact that the manufacturer is not able to put out a proper English version or allow switching languages is ridiculous. You can buy really cheap Chinese watches with 10 or more language options out of the box. Maybe i just buy the gear fit 2, even though the battery life is not so great...

I just wanted to share that i tried it out in the shower, bathtub and in my swimming pool. I even swum to the bottom of the swimming pool multiple times (1,5 meters). The total time i was in the pool was like 40 - 60 min. Clock is still ticking, but it was not worth the risk if i think about it now lol. Hope this answers some of the questions i had before i bought it:)
