One of my favorite features that they have added in a firmware update is when you are running you can swipe to a screen and see a trail of where you have run. Handy if you are somewhere new as you can use it to get back.

I just received the watch for Christmas. Overall I was really happy the first couple of days. However, I started to notice major issues. Every time I open Amazfit watch app I'm aggressively prompted to grant Contacts permissions. I also disabled Phone permissions. I DO NOT USE CALL NOTIFICATIONS. however the Pace Watch is prompting me that I receive calls, each and every time. The app somehow overrides the granted permissions. THIS IS A MAJOR vulnerability in ANDROID Security and a shady approach for Xiaomi/Amazfit. Not to mention the terrible support for 3ed party services such as Google Fit. Still, I got 2 updates since I bought it. Looking foreword for a more transparent approach and further integration with other services for the EU market. This is not China.

Donovan you change your steps goals by going in "Daily Overview" and when the watch shows "Details" Swipe down from the Top to access settings to change the step goal.

I can't agree that the watchface is easily viewable "In literally any lighting". I received mine today at work. with the brightness full on I could only just make out the time. If I'd have known it would be that dull I'd have probably gone for the Verge with it's amoled screen. I believe amoled screens are difficult to view in bright sunlight but I live in the North West of England so that's not an issue. :(

There are problems with this watch. You can't set an interval for the heart monitor, it's either off or continuous, which drains the battery. The sleep tracking is very inaccurate compared to the cheap MiBand. The App isn't good & there aren't any alternatives unlike with the MiBand. The barometer is accurate but there isn't any way to see if it's rising or falling

If you open (steps) Daily Overview on your watch, touch to open Details, pull down from top to open Settings, which will allow to change daily Step Goal, as well as Goal Alert and Move Alert toggles.

Well, my needs are: long battery life, heart measure, remote music control (when I have phone in my pocket, it is much better to control it via watches - and also when I run :) ). The last requirement was added in the last update, so I am happy I've ordered one, because they have everything I need. I saw the Bip one, but I do not like the small screen design. Overal shape is fine, but the bezels are weird to me :)

It really is a great watch. It’s going on 15 months and I still use it regularly. The new Amazfit Pace 2 is available for pre-order, so that will be my new go to watch, but I’m still using my original Pace until then.

I have the Ticwatch S2, and use a Garmin for running. I did some comparisons, the GPS was a bit better on the Ticwatch, but battery life much worse. Still, the Strava app will get me through an 8 mile run with 40% to spare, just have to charge it right before the run. Biggest issue with the Ticwatch from a training standpoint is the accuracy of HR sensor which isn't great, and it won't pair with a BT HR sensor. It wildly overestimated my actual HR. If you use that for training, the Ticwatch isn't for you. Can't speak to the accuracy of the Amazefit, unfortunately.

I have the ticwatch E and I'm selling it to get this watch. I want sleep tracking out of the box and the always on display and more battery life. So it depends on your needs. Ticwatch has been good though but I just have different priorities...

As with many other users, my battery got progressively worse over 2 weeks, then it died completely. From what I've heard from people who've disassembled them, a bit of sweat gets in (it's not very water-resistant) and corrodes the electronics. If you actually DO sport, this is a glaring issue for a sports watch.
