I have Mi smart Tv at home and using Hdmi port instead of normal av cable . So clarity is great HD+. Data saver is also inbuilt in Mi tv. This concept of mi box is really good for those who doesn't have Mi smart tv. 👍🏼

A small correction, This device won't support Dolby Atmos and 5.1. This device can decode dolby and DTS audio format and can fire it to a 2.1 channel only. The earlier version of Mix Box could passthrough 7.1 but when they launched Mi box S ( Mi Box 4K is already a Xiaomi product launched in global market over 2 years ago as Mi Box S) They designed this product as 2.1 passthrough. I am using Mi Box S on my Sanyo 43 inch LCD TV more than one and half years now and I tried a lot to connect this device to a 5.1 speaker system through Optical, HDCP over HDMI and Bluetooth, but unfortunately I failed all the time. This is a very good product to convert your normal LED/LCD or even Regular TV in to Smart TV. This device is one of the few devices which can stream 4K Netflix Contents and running original Android TV OS. But this device has some minor issues like, It cannot deliver 5.1 audio and when playing a 4K movie through a usb device, sometimes it gets jittering because the USB port on this product is a USB2.0. But you can play 4K movies through media servers if you have a supported wifi Router.

I am using Mi Box S (EN). Yes, you are right it wont support Dolby Atmos. But there is a correction. It will support 5.1 Dolby Digital Audio. The reason you are not getting 5.1 is because you will be using PCM or SPDIF. If you enable Dolby Digital / Dolby Digital Plus / DTS / AAC and set DTS percentage you can see the difference. Once you enable this feature you can see 5.1 audio selection is automatically enable in Netflix App. Please note only HDMI will support 5.1 not Optical Cable or Bluetooth. I have PRISM+ Symphony 5.1.2Ch Sound Bar. Which has the Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus support. Once I change the mode from PCM to Dolby Digital Plus, the result was amazing. Only issue that once Dolby is activated the volume control on MI Box will not work. I have to use my sound bar's remote. My Soundbar shows whether it is PCM or Dolby is connected when I do the selection in the MI Box. I am using eArc certified HDMI 2.1 cable with Ethernet support to connect MI to Sound Bar and Sound Bar to TV, so that I can have 4K DCI (4096 x 2160) from both MI Box and TV.

Please note. Even bluetooth 5.0 only support good quality stereo. Not 5.1 or Dolby system. For high quality audio you need to use HDMI Cable version 2.0 or more.

@@jojojohnson3435 The Xiaomi Mi Box 4K has a 64-bit 2.0Ghz CPU, Mali 450 GPU at 750MHz, 2GB DDR 3 RAM, and 8GB eMMC storage. The Fire TV Stick 4K, on the other hand, has a Quad-Core 1.7GHz CPU and 8 GB storage along with 1.5 GB RAM. So technically speaking Mi Box should be faster. I personally suggests MI Box 4K as Pros are more for MI when compared to Fire stick. Lack of USB port in Fire stick is a great disadvantage. Also wide range of Android TV specific apps are available for Mi Box whereas Fire stick has limited number of apps.
