The black colour is what most chinese phone companys should use. It helps hide those black borders that nearly every chinese phone has.

TechTablets.com Thanks for the review. Was planning to buy this phone. You just convinced me. I currently own a 32GB Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) and was planning to upgrade. Thin Bezels on this phone is the only thing I'm gonna miss. But i hate 6' (realizing after buying this) and 32GB internal. If the Mi Mix were only 5.7', would've considered it. But meh. 256GB isn't worth the size of the phone (6.4') in my pocket. One thing's for sure though. I'm not downgrading my 4000mah phone spec needs since my Lenovo P780.

TechTablets.com I got the oneplus 3 as well and compare to that, it is about the same. Also there is only the white, it just look blue due to the glass reflecting the light. Overall, I think the screen is acceptable and for its great battery life, it is a pretty well rounded device.

Thanks for getting back to me. As mentioned here, I find it's not as sharp. It's due to the pentile arrangement of the pixels, but it's by no means a deal breaker, but it has to be mentioned. Yes due to the viewing angle it will shift to more of a cool white (Blue)

I see it as Xiaomi having design, RAM, storage (global model) and processing as the main pros and the Huawei having build quality, camera and software as the main pros. I want to get a phone that has as many bands as possible, as I'm gonna be back and forth between Asia and America for this next year, around US$500 or less, and these two seem to be the best offerings to suit that. What do you think? Or if you have any other suggestions I'd appreciate them.

Could you check up something for me? Put the brightness low and look at solid grey image. LG Oled screens have a nasty habit of showing heavy banding and mura (yellow blobs). I'd just like to know if this is the case with this beautiful Mi Note 2 aswell.

Xiaomi does well in moving forward with their specs and popular designs. In my opinion however they should just focus and what they left behind. For example: easy battery replacement for extended use if you dont have a powerplug available. Same as extending memory by adding memory cards. Dual sim card is for my needs a must have.

Not a deal breaker, just not the sharpest 1080 panel I've seen, more noticeable when looking at text close up, the edges of the font. I think it's the OLED's pixel arrangement that does it. Black are deep and look great, not quite samoled black, but better than an IPS.

Hi, no the S6 edge+ samoled is superior to this screen. Still blacks are deep on the Mi Note 2's OLED, and decent colors, just not as good as the s6 Edge+'s 1440p. No RAW photo mode or 1060p 60fps.

Angga Zan the global version doesn't come full with apps that don't matter to places that aren't china. It doesn't have so strong of a skin, it's made more for the westen market to sum it up simply :)

As I said in another one of these videos (there are multiple uploads of this video) you can change the functionality of the home button in the menu. Switch between wake on touch or press. At least it said so in a review on forbes.

All Xiami phones has the bootloader locked, so first you need unlock bootloader with the xiaomi process Second, you will need find one rom like CM 14 (I don't know if this device already have this rom). Actually, Miui only support android 6 In my opnion, if you want Android 7 right now, is better pick other device with better community support, like One Plus 3

I'm really conflicted whether to get Mi 5S or Note 2. Note 2 has bigger RAM and battery, but I'm not really fussed with either because Mi5S has 4GB option anyway, and the quick charge feature in both phones solved my battery dilemma. Also, I feel like somehow the video taken using Mi 5S is better...? Anyways, could you please give me a quick opinion on which one I should get, or if Mi Note 2 is worth the price? Thanks a bunch!

So far I can say that the battery is better on the Note 2 (8 hours SOT, 10 hours PCmark work test) Still images are better on the Note 2, so much more detail captured and lots of room for cropping images. However the build of the Mi5S and it's screen I feel are better than the Note 2.

Liked , Subscriber for months, good video as usual except...comparing to Samsung edge. Yes they do look similar because they have to perform similar functions, not so? What should Xiaomi done different that would have been an improvement on Samsung's design? I don't own any Xiaomi's and I'm not looking to buy one. The Mi Max looked interesting but it's only about 12mm shorter than my Huawei Mediapad which makes calls and serves the same purpose and fits about as well in my pocket.
