The red flow is blown out by over saturated colors (Red clips really bad) The outdoor photos at the marina, only the panorama shot seems to get the colors correct. And you'll see on the corners of the images some blur from bad optics. Not to pixel peep, but I've seen plenty of 13MP sensors take photos 10 times better. Xiaomi's camera software optimization team have a lot of catching up to do!

Yes RN3P if you game. If you want faster CPU performance, this. But I guess we will have to see what the Note 4 Pro brings. My guess is Type-C, 16MP camera with 4k video recording (Or maybe even dual 13MP cameras) and Snapgradon 652.

In the video it might look okay, but when you look at them on a pc, not very good at all. Xiaomi has some serious work to do on the software optimization of the camera, both photos and video too.

The camera isn't better at all, if you look at them on a calibrated monitor (Which I have) you'll see the colors, sharpness, and saturation in post-processing is quite bad. And also some blurriness on the edges due to the lens. I don't watch other reviews, so I don't know what they say, but I do know one thing, the camera isn't good at all. I sold my RN3P, so can't compare them.

I wouldn't think it's my camera module. It's more the software optimization is very poorly done, maybe rushed? I'm sure they improved it once they sell all the reviews on just how average the camera is. And if a review says it's a good camera, clearly they haven't used it or it's a paid Chinese review (very common practise in China).

great review.i have the redmi 3s the camera is poor and also the reception isnt great on wifi and 4g indoors.the phone also gets very hot when charging and audio call quality isnt great.but its cheap and its fast and battery great so is good for travelling.

Great review. Main issue with Xiaomi remains that it has to be imported. Would rather have the Redmi Note 3 pro because of the snapdragon and longer battery life. I saw on aliexpress that Xiaomi gives OTA updates. Do you know anything about the frequency and for how long they give updates?

Well, I got an update as soon as I got it on the Chinese/English ROM. They push out updates quite frequently. Hopefully we will see an Android 7.0 update from them end of the year.

Vlad Piero the note 3 has better graphics but slightly inferior cpu. So it depends on your overall use of the phone. Stuffs like build quality, camera and storage is better on the note 4 though. No one knows whether the note 4 will be released with snapdragon variant or not. the global rom version has more language options, and it comes with google apps preinstalled, minus all the chinese apps.

Vlad Piero i got myself the note 3 because of gaming, and being a little bit low on money lol. Note 4 is a great phone, other xiaomi phones to consider in that price range are the mi max (same internals as note 3, but bigger screen and battery) and redmi pro (had dual cameras). Even if you got the chinese rom version you can simply download and install playstore manually. I'm not totally sure, but i heard some of those chinese apps can be uninstalled. Also, you can change the rom version by downloading the official one and flashing it. The steps aren't that complicated and there are many tutorials
