As a much smaller creator than you (I stopped because I don't have the time anymore) I also noticed a drop in views and likes on my reviews, when they are a bit critical of a product. That's the reason why channels like ETA prime are doing so well, because there simply isn't ever a bad word about a reviewed product. I still like his videos, but I much more enjoy yours and Robtek videos on MiniPCs, because you are positive, but honest. Keep up the good work, from one creator to another. Would be a shame if we would loose your expertise and thorough and honest takes on tech!
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
Yes times are getting harder for views on certain tech. I've notice him and many others never say a bad word. It's possible they can't as it's a paid video or they know that 100% positive videos tend to do better for views.
@LightmountАй бұрын
I think its' mainly two reasons reasons: 1. Positive reviews click better, because it reenforces the buying bias 2. You get more stuff from manufacturers if you say nice things about them But i prefer to know any downside so I am not surprised. For example I bought a Zotac Magnus One because of a very positive review but the reviewer never mentioned the terrible loud fans, which made me send it back. I wish he would have mentioned that and not only talk about the specs (which are good).

Its hard nowadays to find a tech reviewers that don’t do review just for endorsement or paid advertisement, all gone, Linus, MKBHD etc they all making 15mins of advertisement video… more importantly they are biased against Asian companies even some channels so called Android*(insert a phrase here) channel are so biased for iPhone. Western tech channels are mostly making advertisement and highly biased video, they are against fair competition right now (either for Apple, Nvidia or Intel) Gamernexus and Hardware Unboxed are among little that are left. I believe that the big change in the mini PC market is with regards to just how powerful and versatile the budget models are. This has lead to the lower mid range ,models being capable of such that the top end ones have become of less interest because of the high price, where they become somewhat niche for higher end gamers. So perhaps more focus on the lower end of the market, where affordability and value are also more important in a world where most people have less to spend on what are essentially wants and desires rather than needs.

Please consider reviewing the audio performance of the mini PC, with a focus on factors like output quality, noise levels, and the ability to handle 16-bit, 24-bit, and 32-bit audio playback. We'd also appreciate your verdict on the mini PC's high-resolution audio capabilities. Additionally, could you discuss whether it's possible to integrate a dedicated DAC (such as the SABRE DAC) into the motherboard or similar components? Thanks

I think that the average KZbinr is just looking for entertainment, tire-kicking so to speak. Then there are the people who are actually trying to determine which mini to buy, that's where you come in. For people that want more than a regurgitation of the manufacturers` talking points they want exactly what you do. Odd thing on that score, I watched your vid on Overclocking the Ser9 and bought it. For some reason, I know it is a aberration, but the one I received was 6C/12T. After some back and forth with support I decided to return it and I am now, again, trying to wade through the myriad of options. I understand that it may not be feasable for you to respond to this but I really would appreciate some help. I have been leaning toward Mini but I'm not adamant about that. My ideal scenario would be the latest/fastest (or close) processor. I am doing a LOT of converting video with WhisperAI and my understanding is that it performs best with high vram so I'm hoping to get a dedicated 16 or 12 G video card. My understanding is that with integrated graphics you have to sacrifice RAM to bump up the integrated card so with 32 G RAM to get 12G V-RAM you now how only 20g of available RAM. Another issue that a lot of the mini's seem to scrimp on is Thunderbolt/usb4. I am surprised by that. It seems that to alleviate this issue being able to bump the RAM to 64G would solve that issue but both this mini and ser9 have prevented adding more RAM. I have been considering Re-Purchasing the SER9 but I would be very grateful if you have a suggestion satisfying the following, Fast processor, High Core/Thread cound, Ideally dedicated graphics or the ability to upgrade RAM. That's it, if you have a good suggestion, please put a link here to a Canadian site (Amazon.ca or manufacturers) and i will buy it through you. Thanks for the great videos. I hope that you will be encouraged to continue doing what you do because those of us that appreciate it, appreciate it a lot.. Cheers.

AMD doesn't normally allow RAM OC with LPDDR#(X) ram. That's why it's at the speed it's at on purpose. Cause the IF is already tuned to match the frequency in either 2:1 or 3:1. It's likely 2:1 cause Monolithic Ryzen has much higher IF clock.

Hey, I just discovered you and I loved your video. Your accent is a bit hard for me, but I could still understand you. I personally would love to see your reviews, because it WASN'T positive. That's what I want, I don't want someone that will tell me in each new video that that's the best new one(ETAPRIME). Just for me to spend my money, while they make money practically just promoting stuff, not really interested in the consumer. Need someone like JarrodsTech, he focuses on laptops, need another channel that focuses on other things. To sum up, I'll subscribe even if you don't keep doing mini pc reviews, pretty much to say I like the facts and style of your content and want to see it in whatever you review.

I like your mini pc reviews. The problem is just that there are just too many mini pcs being made with the exact same specs but different names so it seems like too much of the same.

Which is why I slowed right down covering them

I like your reviews of IT stuff. Suggestions and remarks: 1- you've moved madly upmartket from when you were telling us which Chinese crap was actually OK. I'm never buying a Galaxy S, I used to and it's no longer worth it. I don't care about pics. Or about 2k+ ebikes. I want the best possible sensible phones and tablets and PCs. You're just covering the bling stuff. 2- I'd love buying guides, not just reviews. I recommend several low-mid range phones a year, ditto tablets and laptops. You're completely out of the tablet game except from S and iPad, and... well, you're out of the sensible phone game too. But I'd sure watch buying guides about those from you. 3- long-term reviews. I've got to upgrade my aging (11 yrs !) PC. It's still working fine but not Win11-compatible. I'm leery of saving €2-300 by getting a off-brand, non-upgradeable, non-repairable mini PC. Can I a t least be sure it's solidly built ? What's the after sales service experience like ? I've had issues with Chinese tablets and phones too, and have settled on Lenovo, which you help me with... not a jot. I distinctly remeber MP'ing you or commenting about that 2 yrs ago. I understand you want to make juicy commissions, and I'm not representative of the whole market. But I used to be a fan, and now you're mostly irrelevant to my needs. I still watch a bit 'coz I like your style, but you've moved away from me.

Sorry to hear that, I move with the algorithm that forces me to review something things I don't want to. I cover the Mini PC's, ebikes and projectors because I like making those videos and testing the products. Long term videos don't normally get views again the algorithm dictates what we can or can't cover (this sucks)

@@Techtablets The French saying is that the serpent is biting its own tail. The algorithm suggests you do stuff because people watch it, and I for one watch it from you not because I like what the algorithm made you do, but in spite of it because I liked you *before* you started doing what the algorithm wants. Also I'm wondering if the algorithm is telling all creators to do the same thing, or if it takes into account your own skills and the audience you previously built ? It's easy to build an algorithm, it's hard to build a good one ?

I see several problems in the current execution: expensive memory and poor cooling It's not a problem to slightly increase the size of the case (if it really required) and put adequate memory and make such cooling not to think about noise, limits and temperatures
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
Which is where I think the larger wider Beelink SER9 does better there. very good thermals and fannoise, this same APU but with an unlocked bios.

One thing to take into account with new mini PCs is that they're almost never the best value, if used desktops and especially ex-lease business SFF PCs (e.g. HP Elitedesk, Lenovo Thinkcentre) are taken into account. This makes most mini PC reviews, especially the more expensive ones somewhat redundant, as they often have little resale value. If I were to buy a mini PC today I would not think about buying anything other than the new base-spec M4 Mac Mini. Most mini PC users want to do light, but potentially RAM-intensive tasks (e.g. 20 browser tabs), gaming would be nice but if I was thinking about gaming I wouldn't buy a mini PC. I would instead buy a used gaming PC, or a Steam Deck-type handheld with Windows.
