I actually got this phone last month to give away as a gift. One thing I noticed is how the volume coming from the 3.5mm jack isn't as loud as my Redmi Note 8 Pro's. Like, my 8 Pro delivers as much volume at 80% as the 9S delivers at max volume. Again this is through the 3.5mm jack. I saw the 128GB variant of this phone selling for P9,500 at Shopee today. At that price it's a no-brainer. Everyone's going crazy about the Poco X3 these days but honestly I think the 9S is a solid deal because you're not missing a lot compared to the X3 and it's still cheaper and has a glass back which means it'll stay pristine for a lot longer. Dirt will always get inside between your case and phone and it'll scratch up a plastic back before long. Not saying the X3 is bad, but a glass back would've made it a no-brainer.

I've heard there's an 8GB+128/256GB variant and it comes with UFS 3.1 not the 3.0 on 6GB variant but idk if it will be made available on Ph market :3. I would love the phone even more (probably buy it?) if it has an AMOLED display :3 but nevertheless its a great phone.. if you're fine with IPS hehe 😅

I actually just ordered this phone waiting for delivery. I was looking for a midrange phone within a certain price range which was dual sim, android /apple and had a biggish battery and onboard memory. Did a search and this phone popped up and decided to go with it. And I ordered it before doing real research on this phone. Was looking at Samsung and huawei but few Samsung are dual sim in my country and huawei doesn't have the apps I need

Will receive my white colored one in the next couple days. Choosing white saved me $15.....paid $185 US including delivery. I put TPU cases on my phones so color isn't a big deal for me. I'll probably try installing Gcam, it is supposed to improve the camera above the already good camera.

Can you include the data connection speed on the phone.. I am currently using 1 and the connection using data is slower compared to my old redmi note 5 and it is unstable cant play any games and do anything that needs constant internet connection.. an update had fix it a bit but the problem is still there. I think the prob is software related. Honestly the phone is great with just 3 prob. Screen on the edge arent responsive compared to the screen in the middle part, and the notch has a black shadow, and the unstable data speed

The Global version (except those for India and Indonesian) comes with Google's Phone dialer and Contacts apps but not the original MIUI stock Phone dialer and Contacts apps. It seems that Xiaomi have been force to change these apps. The Google Phone dialer and Contacts apps have bugs and do not work properly with MIUI. There is no more record function in the dialer and the Contacts app cannot display contacts in SIM card 1 and 2 independently.

i am going to buy it tomorrow i guess. replacing my redmi note 7. my sister will buy my redmi note 7 then I can happily upgrade. haha. for me, redmi note 7 is good enough for everyday use and some gaming like CALL OF DUTY MOBILE. just that sometimes there is minor lag presence. maybe because of the server of the game or the phone it self. i never heavily played games on my phone before the redmi note 7 but redmi surely packs up good phone with reasonable price. ease on the pocket. haha. thanks for the 6gb model review. there is a lot of 4gb model review but less 6gb ones. and thanks for the all english review. i once seen a Philippines review starting with english then they talked tagalog. haha. i dont understand until they talked tagalog. i am from malaysia and the 6gb + 128gb sold at myr899. a bit cheaper than you i guess if converted directly.
