I think it would be quite tough to beat Porsche Taycan GT, even though the SU7 has significantly more horsepower, the chassis and suspension are a different story, which Porsch has perfected over the many years of 911 race experience.

The predicted time of the Xiaomi su7 prototype is 6 minutes and 40 seconds, and the test day on the 10th has been abandoned because of rain. same opinion, after all, porsche is a great auto brand too. but i love xiaomi more, since it's not that expensive

M8, this car does laps under 7 min. It gives even the 992 GT3 RS a run for its money (6:49.33 on the 20.8km track setup).

You’re absolutely right. It all looks simple on the simulator. In practice, one has to deal with very different friction values of the roadway, small hills and demines, curves of different inclination, curbs and very different temperatures within a round. The height difference within one round alone is 950 ft. A lot of teams have completely underestimated this. Musk wanted to drive under 7 minutes…You need a perfect chassis, that’s the key.

Basically testing with a prototype car that will never put into mass production, where the production car has flaw design in brakes, what's the point of lapping in Nords? Btw, even the prototype had a power issue in mid-way, such an abomination with low quality

It will go into production next year, it will only lack the full-carbon body. Brakes already got fixed, you can option the better brakes in China on the lower trim versions too. Power-cut was due to leaves blocking some sensors, hopefully that also gets fixed. Finding problems like this is pretty much the purpose of these test runs. And even with the power cut and the track being damp it still set a new record with 15-20 seconds to spare under better conditions.
