They’ve acknowledged it in the past but basically said there’s nothing they could actually do about it. I’m glad to see we didn’t just get a hand wave about it but they actually put years of research into fixing this problem. Honestly surprised to see this from Ubisoft. I just hope it actually works

@@Mekel01 ban isn't gonna work. They are doing what fortnite tried and xim will release a firmware to bypass. Also xim matrix comes out soon. It is like xim and cronus made a baby. Also there are ways to mask. Even on ps5 they made work arounds to use xim with a b loader. Sorry you guys are getting hyped up over nothing.

I would be one of the players that left and would come back very quickly if this worked and banned all the prepubescent xim users out there who apparently don't know how to use their thumbs in unison across the horizontal and vertical axis

Yeah, one of many. Xim champs are actually brainbroken. I mean just think about it, before xim they played 6 hours a day and peaked at plat 2 with negative K/Ds vs. mostly other controllers.

@@Mekel01 💯 and yet so many of them are probably post silvers who giggled when they got gold and then got sad that they never got out of gold 2 and so they spent half the cost of a PC to be able to play with a mnk on their console so they could finally even reach plat. Whenever a season starts and I get to plat 9/10 games there is a minimum of 2 mnk players. Which was when I said "I'm done." So now I play maybe 2 times a season. And I miss playing so much but I don't even want to play with a mnk on my team. Go get gud and then come back or just go play cod.

one of my friends is disabled, only uses mnk on fortnite and games that allow it, they also have a pc but never agree to using xim and other cheating devices, and I'm sure most of the ximmies will try and use the "I'm disabled" excuse if they get banned or sectioned by ubisoft to get away with it.

So here's some insight for you Mekel and everyone else. Although they cannot outright get rid of xim because it's not illegal, from what I've gathered they are penalizing mnks with continued input lag everytime they use a spoofing device and/or mouse. So everytime you use a mouse in match, you will get input lag. It will get worse and worse each match you use it. Playing on controller will get your input lag back down to where it was. They won't be completely gone, but they are doing something. I don't think people realize that ubisoft cannot do but so much because of the fact that xim and cronus are not illegal and allowed for the most part by Microsoft and Sony. The difference with siege is there isn't aim assist, which is why it's a bigger problem. So whoever thinks they can just ban xim outright is mistaken. I really like the new dev team, and the direction siege is going in. I think the game will make a big comeback if they keep going in the direction. Now I'm not sure how they plan on detecting mnk, but we will see

So I’m all for banning mnk on console. But i honestly don’t know how they’d do it. I know players (ive even tried it myself) who use the d-pad to move and have some insanely weird aim curves on their elite controllers. So pattern recognition might not fully work unless they look at anti recoil specifically. If there’s a specific script or something that Zens and xims use then they can just update it in a week probably. If they can’t, then there are probably hundreds of other adapters that can run mnk. Heck I sometimes use a Brooks adapter to use a ps5 controller on Xbox because I ain’t buying another console even though I prefer PlayStation controllers. So if they ban adapters then some people like me will even get smacked.

I highly doubt any bans will happen because of the TOS and Service Agreements with Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox, it would be a direct violation of them. What this sounds like is them trying to "throttle" the usage of said devices by adding latency, not ban them. "We could ban them easily" yea right lol if they could then they would. Other games have been through this already and publicly admitted it's because of Xbox and Playstation. But hey we'll see what happens...

Xim could be opening themselves up to a lawsuit by updating specifically to avoid Ubisofts anti-cheat. Bungie’s been suing cheat developers recently and it’s been working pretty well. I’d love to see xim sued out of existence.

Low iq lol.....Essentially Xbox are like high end PC and On PC They hardly complain about controller players they don't complain about Mnk or controller on the platforms its only salty low iq players that never played with a controller and played with Mnk to experience both and to switch to what they prefer. i myself was complaining about this back on consoles till i switched to PC and then you really see the different level of skills required to compete at higher ranks not to mention the cheating plague that ubisoft hasn't bothered to fix. i could domininate players when i was using controller even if they were playing on Mnk for me i wanted to switch due to the limitations i think a controller has but it was a preference in the end juts get better at the game and come up with your own playstyle and strats also focuse on training your mind on better movement mechanics it will make a huge difference to you in the end.
