@@stonecareman Sure you can do that, i recommend you to use several of these anti recoil mechanics on top of each other. Its best to start with option 1 and then add option 2 or 3. Go with the same order as in the video to maintain the best accuracy.

I tried all of these tips for R6 yesterday. I didn't like steady aim for ads that made my aim very potato I tried 5.0 down to 2.0 before I decided it's best to leave it on 0. Steady aim on the hip config felt much more natural. That actually works fine, rather an advantage for me at least. I know where to keep my crosshair but without SA it's easy to go up n down while running around and harder to stay steady with the crosshair so if u feel the same try SA only for the HIP config. Boost I left at 0. Have tried it with 8500 with in game dz at 25 that felt ok. I still feel more consistent with 0 boost. Curves I've tried so many from the forum with no positive effect. I've done a few curves myself that works fine without any downside to it. Only for eliminate the speed cap etc. I manedge do to a curve that I think eliminated the acceleration so I could slowly move 45cm and do a 360° then do the same 45cm with very fast movement and ended up on the same spot. (45/360 slow&fast) usually if u have no curve and do this you will allways get over 360° when doing a fast movement. That's why Xim recommend you to learn how to move the mouse a bit slower to turn faster. I dont like to aim like that. Y/X ratio you could use 0.8 for hip if u don't have the Beta version and want a more steady crosshair placement at headlevel and as the video shows 1.2 for ads if u need easier recoil.

Yes a XY Ratio of 0,8 will greatly help to keep your crosshair at headlevel for HIP, you will less likely move your crosshair too high or too low while turning around then!

Games like the division? Go for options such as higher aim assist and use a large mousepad if possible. The other options help too but a large mousepad and more aim assist are probbably the best ways.

@@XIMCentral Yes. The Division. I figured that out and bought a whole desk mousepad already thanks anyway. The issue with slow max turn speeds is you must train yourself to move the mouse slowl and steady, i also wondered if there is a way to make this feel better. On BO4 turn speed is high so i can swipe with great effect.

@@Cryptonomous Theres not really any other way than training yourself to move your mouse with a constant but slow speed. The key part is constant speed, that way you will achieve much higher ingame turnspeeds. Its still the best way to turn fast in slow turning games and there currently is not better way. This becomes less of a problem if you play with slower sensitivities @ moving your whole arm instead of wrist movements.

Im convinced the developers of The Division had MnKB advantages in mind when designing the look mechanics to even the playing field. I get that, and overall its good but as a XIM user myself now it kinda sucks... Im not in it for the advantage, im in it because its a cost effective input method that rivals the poor quality premium controllers.

@@LEGENDofBEANY sync off with black ops 4 makes it so the aim assist isn't as sticky and strong, keeping you from getting into and out of the aim assist bubble. .as far as simulated analog, I can't really tell the benefits but I add 50 because he said to.

Curves are mouse acceleration and bring your mouse movements closer to those of a controller, which in return will boost the aim assist as it was designed around controller sticks. If you want to understand the full details of the curve then just check out one of the two ballistic curve tutorials on my channel, in one of them the curve is discussed and analyzed i think :).

Hey, you can of course do that too, but then you will always have the changed XYRatio active while you are aiming down your sights. If that isnt a problem for you then sure thats also possible (and a lot of people do it that way).

So giving a higher X/Y ratio makes there less recoil so I’m guessing that means if I were to use a rainbow config and use say 0.79 x/y ratio that would make more recoil correct? Say if I wanted more of a real pc feel. Would that work?

Yes if you reduce the XYRatio you have basically more recoil to compensate with your mouse movements. The PC game has far less recoil than the console version.

@@XIMCentral it only has less recoil because of the native mnk. If you look at the recoil patterns the recoil on console is a lot smaller because of the fact that it’s sticks compared to mnk. I found a sens that uses a 0.79 x/y ratio and it feels almost exactly how my pc sens felt and I’m so happy with it. I made it right after I made that last comment

Boost changes the games deadzone right? I read about one guys settings for Siege. He said it felt more like pc. He used XIM4 with steady aim on - don't know what value it is on the apex. Boost 8500 and in game deadzone at 25. For the right stick. I tried it but without the SA because he didnt say the value, just on? What that mean. It felt really good smooth and precise. Havnt played on PC so don't know if the statement feels more like pc is correct or not. You might wanna give it a try and write back what u think.

Yeah i should give it a try maybe, it sounds like he used a different ingame deadzone but then artifically increased the xim config deadzone to match the ingame one. Either way the some of the XIM4 experimental frimwares didnt have a strength slider for Steady Aim, you could either turn it on or off. Maybe thats why he just wrote steady aim on.

Hey, i already did a destiny 2 config and i think the best anti recoil system for this game is to increase the aim assist as that greatly helps with the recoil in destiny 2 (active aim assist basically reduces the weapon recoil).

Seem's like this may only work with targets that stand in one spot. Fighting against recoil while tracking a player can be a challenge sometimes. Not to mention your own movements, unless you're a bot. lol just saying.

Id start with a value of 1,2 to 1,25 first. This will give you an understanding on how the XYRatio affects your aim and if you like it or not. If that range doesnt help you to control the weapon recoil well enough you can continue to increase it in steps of 0,05 to 0,10.

Hey, yes this is what most likely happened. Your phone might have "upgraded" to the xim manager from the app store although its an older version. Manually update your xim manager again and you should be fine again. You are not the first to report this problem so far and theres no other solution right now than to manually update again. You need to use the correct skill tree for the stg 44. Dont go for hipfire but for all the weapon recoil reduction skills for the weapon. After that it is enough to slightly drag down the mouse to have no recoil.

First go 3200 dpi with your ec2-a to get much better mouse movements. Then switch to sync common or default and set steady aim to 0. Your priority should be to get a great mouse feeling first. Once that is done you can go through the steps shown in this video, start with point 1 and continue with point 2 and so on. Also dont overdo it with the values, as i said in the video you definitely dont want to use more than steady aim 10. Also the XY Ratio and other options should be examined first before using steady aim to compensate the weapon recoil.

@@brokennative1661 its a good mouse but has a stutter issue that has can be solved when upgrading the mouse to the latest firmware and change the lift off distance in the driver. If you want to get that mouse then please do that to ensure it runs perfectly with your xim. At least that has been mentioned by lots of xim users playing with that mouse.

Fortnite doesnt have any weapon recoil system, it has a weapon bloom system. The only weapon in fortnite that has weapon recoil is the AK47 (heavy assault rifle). Weapon recoil will make your crosshair kick up while bloom will only widen your crosshair (make it bigger).

Go with muzzle brake and angled grip on the weapon and disregard the aim assist points from this video. Anything else will work perfectly with BF4 :).

XIMGameplay my guns jump too much m16/eak97/acwr/etc. I’m trying increasing xy ratio as recommended put it up to 1.25. My hip is 45-50, ads is 14-15, and my dpi is 10k. What changes would you recommend?

@@engelsramirez4886 use the two weapon attachments i mentioned earlier and yeah XYRatio is your best bet. The ACWR is one of the highest firerate assault rifles if i remember correctly and its meant to kick a lot for balancing. Same goes for the AEK971 which also is extremly difficult to control. Overall mouse movement timing is more important than optimizing anti recoil mechanisms as even with a perfect setup you will still have to drag down the mouse at the right moment to compensate the recoil. Also go Red Dot over Acog as that will also reduce the recoil :).

XIM on The Division is fucked, it takes long too long to adjust to, the moment u play a game where it works well (BO4) you cant go back without relearning everything. Hopefully TD2 has less varying sensitivity mechanics and a higher overall sensitivity. I played 100/100 on a controller....

@@Zrzor Dont use a curve in Rainbow Six Siege, its a very bad idea. Rainbow Siex Siege requires you to play with your best possible mouse accuracy. A curve will reduce your mouse accuracy to boost the aim assist or other game elements, but Rainbow Six Siege doesnt have any aim assist. You can use xim link for example, it connects your pc to the xim. That way any device that works with a pc will also work with the xim. Of course your pc needs to run next to the console for that. See more in the xim link forum or my xim link video tutorial, the software is free to download.

hey so if I want xy ratio to be change only when I'm firing (not when hip firing or aim down sight), I'd have to go to aux and register one key that I haven't bound yet? in my case I've already set my right click to be ads and left click to firing. let's say I haven't set to bound left ctrl yet. if I set that up on aux, do I have to press left ctrl and either left click or right click in order to not interfere hip fire or ads's xy ratio? sorry I'm not good at English but hope you understand it.

Hey, when you use left CNTRL for the new AUX config then you also have to rebind Fire = CNTRL in that AUX config. If you want to use that AUX for ADS then you have to change the translator at the bottom to ADS. Also set everything else 1:1 to what you use in the AUX config too (xim sens, xim sync, ...) except for the XY Ratio. Now all you have to do is to hold down ADS and whenever you want to shoot with low recoil you press CNTRL instead of Left Mouseclick.

@@woobinlee2602 Yes thats exactly what this sub config does, the XY Ratio is only active while you shoot with CNTRL. So only when you fire you gun you have the XY Ratio changes and not while you are aiming in HIP or ADS. Thats exactly what you want i think right?

hey, the hp keyboard should work. Same applies to the hp mouse, however your mouse should have at least 3000 dpi for the best mouse movements with the xim.

A curve is less effective than the XY Ratio trick or stronger aim assist, basically all of the options that are shown in this video prior to the ballistic curve are better to reduce the aim assist :).

In that case try different game configs and see which one gives a good mouse movement. Usually games from the same game developer give acceptable results. Once you found such a game config you can use the ballistic curve, xy ratio, boost and other features to get an even better mouse experience :).

@@shandar80 Im currently working on a different anti recoil video that will also work with the XIM4. Now most of the features discussed in the "reduce & control weapon recoil" video can also be used with the XIM4, however theres a better way which ill show in the next video. For general config settings id highly suggest you to use regular XIM Apex config videos and ignore the 1-2 features that the XIM4 doesnt have. Those features are mainly already preset on the XIM4 and cannot be changed. The preset values are really decent so its not like you miss out on a lot of stuff. The only difference is the slightly different looking xim manager :).

the XIM4 is out of production for around two years now, it still receives game updates but there will be no more firmware updates unless critical changes have to be made. The reason is that the XIM4 memory doesnt allow that anymore and the remaining memory has to be saved for those important changes. The XIM Apex is the fifth XIM product. Or you use a basic curve that reduces the recoil a little bit and anything on top of that is done by mouse movements (+ maybe XY Ratio). I tried the curve in several games and it worked pretty well, it isnt a perfect solution as you might still need to either tweak the curve to perfection or use additional features on top, but it gets the job done pretty well. The curve boosts your mouse movements in the typical range where players have difficulties controlling recoil (0-26% movement speed). Any other movement range remains unaffected.

Is the curve good for Fortnite?

No not really, the reason is that fortnite uses a bloom weapon recoil which is absolutly random and cannot be compensated. Only a weapon like the ak has an actual kickup that can be compensated. And for that gun its for the most part random so not really worth it. If you have problems with the bloom then id suggest to try single fire or tap fire strategies, those allow you to control the bloom a lot better than when shooting full auto.

@@incmei0r494 All right, then here is what happens: Every console game has a maximum turnspeed that you cannot exceed. When you set the Overwatch controller speed to maximum and peg the analogstick to the side you can see the maximum turnspeed in the game. Now when you move your mouse on the mousepad faster than you can turn in the game, then the game will ignore that additional movement. Your xim will then show you a red blinking. You are basically moving your mouse too fast, the game doesnt register that speed. This will feel like a slowdown then. The solution is to either reduce your xim sensitivity or move the mouse at a slower speed. Overwatch has a pretty slow maximum turnspeed. Call of Duty has a very very high one in comparison, which is why you do not have that problem there. So try to move your mouse at a slower speed. (your mousepad should not be the problem).
