Thanks for your effort. In my opinion that's the optimal config for all COD games. I don't know how to explain, but in traditional configs the initial movements seems to be "acellerated". With this config everything is so smooth and linear. Finally got a V2 rocket in WW2 :)

One of the worst IMO. I've given it an honest go on numerous occasions and I never end up sticking with it, it's for me one of the most inconsistent well known CoD configs out there. Just seems like you get super sticky aim assist one minute, the next AA feels loose and then others you can't get into the AA bubble at all lol. Such a strange config born of since-debunked ideas.

It’s funny because it’s just his personal setup that feels really good for him. What felt perfect for me, was my old razer death adder 3.5g with the dpi at like 3500 or something, with steady aim on back in the xim3 days. I might actually go back to this setup with my xim apex. Even though I have a Logitech g502.. I feel sometimes it’s too fast and light feeling. The deathadder felt slightly slower, more heavier, but ultimately a bit more accurate and the aim assist played a bit more nicer with it. I feel with the g502 it’s a constant battle with the games auto aims. But hey..this is MY personal feelings. Doesn’t mean it’s right, wrong, for you, for him, for her. But it’s for me and it’s what felt best.

You should definitely try it, with sync default and 125hz your XIM Apex will also give you the same aiming experience as a XIM4 if you want to test that too.

I just tried this config out in destiny 2 comp and I really enjoyed it. My aim was on point after dialing in the ads curve a little. I'll definitely be giving this a go for a bit

Destiny 2 is one of those games with a really strong aim assist, thats where the MJFame config works the best!

Thanks for the explanation, this is an interesting config! A "normal" config is like reading a book at arm's length with reading glasses. The MJFame config (DPI too low and Sensitivity too high) is like putting the book across the room and reading it with binoculars. :-)

@@XIMCentral Hello, I tried your setup, but I have a problem. HIP and ADS are extremely fast. No way to adjust the sensitivity to have a smooth aim, I mainly play with a slow aim. I increased the curve, but no improvement. Can you explain to me how to properly adjust? even while following the video I have problems .. Yet I play with a mouse "ZOWIE FK1" 800 dpi .. 1000Hz .. in the game: all standard and aims at the extreme: 20 Can you help me please? I bought the apex xim just for this setup.

@@TheAngellcast You have two options, either use the ballistic curve to reduce the overall sensitivity instead of increasing it OR set your XIM to 500hz which will divide your overall sensitivity by half when using the MJFame config.

Very interesting config, very informative as well. Gave me a lot of new knowledge about the xim. I've been messing with it for two days now but I feel when I run my mouse at 18k cpi (sensei ten) and a sensitivity of 22, 5 - 30 it feels much smoother. Didn't change anything else, left the curve as is and sync off.

Wait you are using the MJFame curve with 18000 dpi and a xim sensitivity of 30 with sync off? Thats impossible, with those settings you would theoretically do a 360° turn with 1cm on the mousepad. I suspect that your mouse isnt running on 18000 but on a much lower default value. Usually dpi values have to be saved onto the mouse memory or else they dont carry over to the xim. Instead the mouse then runs on a default value which can be for example 800 dpi.

@@XIMCentral I have the steelseries sensei Ten and have 4 cpi settings programmed ;800, 3200, 6400 and 18.000. I calculated the sensitivity 18000/800 which came out 22.5. So to answer your question the answer is Yes lol. Been testing some more today and seems around the 20 mark works best. And I can do 360s in a very small range of motion.. But still have crazy accuracy for hip and ads. Going to look into it some more.. Mayb I did change something which I missed. Nonetheless keep up the awesome videos man and excuse me for the long response 😂😎

I hope one day you make a DayZ config tutorial finding the right settings for this game almost feels impossible strangely the MJFame config seems to be working much better then any of my previous configs even though DayZ has no aim assist any thoughts or suggestions? DayZ sadly doesn't have a stable frame rate it drops as a low as 15 and jumps to around 55 I'm guessing that means it's trying to run 60fps? I have tried numerous syncs/DPIs/polling rates and nothing has felt right ADS is awfully slow and micro movements are so unresponsive this game has a huge fan base on PC and I'm surprised more people aren't discussing it in the xim forums so I thought I would bring this up here

There are two important things you need to be aware of when playing DayZ. The first one is that it has timed acceleration, once you move the mouse for a certain time to the side the sensitivity will significantly increase. The XIM cannot compensate that. The other thing is that different scopes on the weapon use different aiming mechanics. So not every scope may result in good mouse movements. Its probably best to find out which scopes work the best and try to stick to those. I currently dont have DayZ but if i find a way to get my hands on it i can make a config tutorial :).

Yes its for both, you basically use the same settings for ADS as well.

@@fp2748 No it has to be 500, that is the main idea of this config. Sensitivity at 500 and then adjust your mouse speed via the ballistic curve generator. Because of that its a very unconventional config, theres nothing wrong with using a regular config setup. This is just a different approach that is actually quite interesting and also works out pretty well.

I'm trying this now and it feels good tbh. It was little bit to sensitive for me but I adjusted both hip and ads curves and it feels very responsive and accurate. Let you know if anything changes after I've played few games

@XIMGameplay - I tried the setup exact setting and loved the aim assist however it feels too slow. like i am playing on 1/3rd of my actual movement. i kept switching the ballistic curve from starting with 60- 100 which u shown in video... down to 50 then 40, 30.... and finally felt same when i used 20 on bottom axis and then raising right bar to 100 on ballistic curve. Can u help me understand that making it down to 20 instead of 60 value on ballistic curve will have any impact on aim assist? or switch to something like 50 or 40 and then adjust myself to that sensitivity?

Hey, as long as you always ramp up the curve to 100% it doesnt make any difference if you ramp it up at 5%, 10% or 50%. The aim assist is the same.

you say to set 60 on the curve as a starting point for 60fps games like COD4, but does the original Xbox one run at 60fps native?

The starting point is just a rough guideline to have a good starting sensitivity, theoretically you can start at whatever percentage you want to and this will also not influence hte overall outcome. You can also go with 50% for all games as a starter, thats perfectly fine.

Thats because of how this config deals with the aim assist, im pretty sure this wasnt inteded by MJFame originally but his config just turns out to play extremly nice with the aim assist :). You will hardly notice the aim assist yet it helps you much more than with other config settings.

@@Uuuung It sounds like there might be a setup error in the config, such as your grenade button being assigned to the turn assist or left stick turn. If you cannot find the conflict setup a brand new config and check if it happens with that one as well. As you setup the config continuously check ingame if the problem already occurs to find out what caused it.

I remember finding this setup in the forums on my phone long while back, pretty sure just short of the introduction the setup was shared. I used it as my go to for red dead redemption as it just seemed to change the whole algorithm of aiming for the best in that game. Anyways, for me personally I feel like it does wonders for 3rd person shooters as I recently came back to it for the division 2 and it's aim mechanics, feels like it literally just enters and exits the aim bubble with such ease to borderline non existent. Hey, understanding the concept of ballistic curves is not an easy task tbh. On my channel i did a ballistic curve guide which explains how the curves work from the scratch. I just tried this MJfame on COD cold war. the ballastic curve at 60 fps start point is perfect for standard gun but ads is a problem bc it's way to sensitive. Edit: ok for ADS I had to move the bottom bar all the way to the right 100 setting, and then the top bar automatically went to 100 as well. That made it borderline equal to the nonADS settings. I find this odd because I am used to widowmaker or ashe where when you use ADS things become slower not faster

Hey, im not sure what you mean with the ADS one but to maintain the MJFame effects its better to reduce your XIM Sensitivity and keep the 60 fps curve mark for the ADS config than changing the curve to dial in the sensitivity.

@@XIMCentral Ok, changing the ballistic curve did work (of course). However, I had to Nerf the ADS ballistic curve so much, it wouldn't be MJFAME it would be MJSHAME. I'm just not that good yet to make use of the config. The ballistic curve tutorials and MJFAME config has taught me a lot about ballistic curves since it has such extreme values. I will keep MJFAME in my stable for sure when I can work up to it. Thanks for the help!

Hey, use the ingame ramp that corresponds to the XIM Config you pick. The normal XIM OW Config requires exponential ramp, and the XIM OW Alternate Config uses linear. @@t.jcombo2920 I could record gameplay but you just wouldnt see the difference since it mainly changes how your mouse interacts with the aim assist. And for that you need to move the mouse by yourself. Thats why i recommended to create this MJFame config next to your regular config and then switch via hotkeys between the two. Overall this config allows you to easily cut through the aim assist without really reducing its strength. The aim assist becomes less of an obstacle but more like a helping hand.

Some play better with equal HIP/ADS speeds, other wise a slower or higher ADS sensitivity. Definitely go 1000hz regardless. The reason is that this config uses Sync Off which means if you use 500Hz then your mouse movements will be twice as fast as with 1000Hz. Its a Sync Off thing and doesnt apply to any other Sync setting. On the other hand the 20 smoothing should remove your 1000Hz mouse stutter too.

Hello, I have some issues with setting up my MJfame config for a specific game that works really well with the xim apex it has unlimited turn speed in game where it has advanced settings. So, i did everything you said in the video (put 500 on both hip and ads, Sync off 20 smoothing, 250hz) but there is a problem it feels way too fast uncontrolable and it has alot of aim acceleration too. It just doesnt feel right. How do you decrease your sens and without having that much acceleration?

Hey, with the MJFame Config you cannot combat acceleration. Acceleration can only be removed by using the correct XIM Game Profile plus ingame settings. To adjust your sensitivity you have 3 options: Via DPI, via the curve or via the XIM Sensitivity :).

Most mice use smoothing past a certain DPI value, so the approach here is instead of using the inbuilt sensor smoothing you use the XIM smoothing. Its a potential workaround for mice that dont have more than say 800 dpi. But in general you are right!

I’m playing apex on the PC with Xbox controller plugged in to the xim. When setting up my profile do I choose PC, Xbox or PlayStation? I’ve heard PlayStation has the best AA. Also if I do choose PC, what would my FPS be?

For the best mouse translation use PC. For more aim assist you can try the other profiles but depending on the game this may result in a significant mouse translation hit.

@@spankmachine8454 Hey, this just means you move your mouse faster than you can turn in the game. This isnt a negative thing, just a notification that slower mouse movements would also do it. You can turn off the red blinking in your XIM config.

Hey, die Mausgeschwindigkeit kannst du über die Kurve anpassen, einfach etwas steiler machen und schon drehst du dich schneller (siehe entsprechenden Abschnitt im Video dazu wie das geht) :).

hey so im currently on destiny 2 ps5 with 120 hz enabled but I can't seem to replicate mjfame config on my ps5 version compared to the ps4 version. on my hip i had the curve set to 20 before moving it to 100 and on my ads i had the curve set to 50 before moving it to 100.

I havent tried the MJFame config with 120hz so far but that shouldnt change the overall sensitivity. What i heard though is that the 120hz mode for D2 has a different overall sensitivity, maybe that is what you experience? Im not sure how much truth there is in that, maybe check if your ingame settings have changed due to the 120hz mode.

Most people like standard but id say try them all to see which one works the best for you.

Ach ne die Config hab ich ja mal gespielt in Fortnite und BFV und fand sie gut. Nur leider ist zb in Fortnite ein gewisser Inputlag bemerkbar sofern das einen nicht stört findet man, finde ich nichts besseres um an Controller Aim Assist heran zu kommen. :)

Hey, pretty sure the g pro superlight has onboard memory, its just huge pain to save your settings onto the onboard memory via the g hub software. If it turns out to be impossible i would recommend you to not use the MJFame config as it doesnt work well with DPI values above 800.

This setup will otherwise add a bit of a delay or sluggishness to your mouse movements, the 1000hz will make sure your mouse movements are still responsive. If you want to use 250hz then reduce the smoothing to 10-15.

Es ist allerdings viel schneller als ich normalerweise spiele. Ich habe die curve dann nach rechts verschoben auf 76 und das entspricht ungefähr der sensi die ich vorher hatte. Nun komme ich aber schlechter auf die Gegner und kann auch schlechter tracken, trotz niedrigerer sensi. Ebenso habe ich das Gefühl das der Aimassist besser bei 60 arbeitet. Hat die sensi die man mit der curve einstellt ein direkten Einfluss auf den Aimassist?

@@battle-peachl8881 Ja das stimmt, der Haupteffect kommt durch die steile Kurve. Würde also entweder die DPI auf 400 stellen oder die XIM Sensitivity von 500 auf einen niedrigeren Wert stellen. Die Kurve kann man durchaus anpassen aber nur bis zu einem gewissen Grad.

For CoD use a delay, 224 is the average of all guns but you might have to tweak it for your favourite gun. SAB is not needed but can ofc be added if you want to.

@@grantvxr83 Oh you can comnpletely ignore the fps recommendations for the MJFame config, those where just starting points to ensure the user has a good experience without having to dial in the curve too much. You can only adjust the aim assist to a certain extend via your XIM config, if that isnt sufficient then the game would need to offer detailed ingame aim assist adjustments.

I think the game has a bad aim mechanic and then the xim can only do so much to give a somewhat playable experience. Why use it for metro exodus? I know that for xbox at least, it has native mouse and keyboard support, no xim needed. It was very awesome to use it, because it was all setup like a PC would allow, with all the different settings in game. I liked it.

Hey, what you can do is to use the MJFame 60 curve and then adjust the XIM sensitivity. For the MJFame effect you must use the curve though.

Hey, keep the aim assist to on in the game. About your mouse sensitivity, did you manage to change the curve in your HIP and ADS config? That way you change the sensitivity. Move the curve to the left for faster mouse speeds and move it to the right for slower mouse speeds. Is that what you meant?

@@sllapi Well yes you could change the sync but then itll work slightly different compared to the true MJFame config. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, i mean you could also check up to which point your mouse runs a native dpi profile and then slightly increase your mouse dpi too to achieve a faster turnspeed :).
