These panels were spot welded from the factory, so why have you arc-welded (MIG) new parts? There was clear access for a spot welder to all replaced parts.
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын
Yes, due to specific constraints, it may not always be possible to provide the required equipment such as a spot welder. In such cases, using arc welding (MIG) is an alternative method that can achieve similar strength and results. The specific circumstances and available equipment during the repair process may influence the choice of repair method. The goal is to ensure that the repaired components have the appropriate structural strength and functionality. Thank you for understanding.
Grazie mille per i complimenti, sono felice che il video ti sia piaciuto!

Why do they always drill holes before the repair? Thank you. Very good job.
@lupulflamand5673 Жыл бұрын
Because the body panels are spot welded together. They have to drill the spot welds to separate the panels.
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын
You're correct! Spot welding is a common technique used in automotive manufacturing to join body panels together. During the repair process, if a damaged panel needs to be replaced, the spot welds are drilled to separate the panels and allow for the installation of a new panel. Skilled technicians carefully remove and replace the necessary panels to ensure a proper fit and restore the structural integrity of the vehicle.
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын
When replacing a damaged panel, drilling holes allows for spot welding or bonding adhesive to securely attach the new panel to the vehicle's structure. These holes provide access points for the welding equipment or the adhesive to bond the panel effectively.

You can grind it and paint it and make it look like new. But this car's structural integrity, is already compromised...
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment, sta8ise. It's true that if a car's structural integrity is compromised, simply grinding and painting it won't fix the underlying issue. Safety is always a top priority, and it's important to properly assess and address any structural damage to a vehicle before considering cosmetic repairs.

La puerta quedo con otro tono de pintura. No usaron el mismo color
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын

The pillar got bent like paper. Do any of you guys ever heard of material fatigue? You gonna get someone killed Chong, get your act together.
@xinxianshi Жыл бұрын
I understand your concern regarding material fatigue and its potential impact on safety. It's important to note that the video you're referring to may not provide a comprehensive view of the repair process or the considerations taken by the professional involved. When it comes to repairing structural components like pillars, it's crucial to ensure that proper techniques, materials, and equipment are used to maintain the structural integrity and safety of the vehicle. Qualified professionals should assess the damage and determine the appropriate repair method, following industry standards and guidelines. While it's essential to prioritize safety in any repair work, it's challenging to draw definitive conclusions solely based on a video clip. If you have specific concerns or questions about the repair process or techniques used, it's recommended to consult with an experienced automotive professional who can provide more insights and address your concerns in a comprehensive manner.

Material fatigue of which piece? The one they replaced with a new one? The only parts that were really damaged were replaced. And I think most of the roof strength will be in the B pillar.
@mehdihani2932 Жыл бұрын
@@1967250s A" pillar is what saves you in frontal or offset crashes , material fatigue is basically yielding of the component meaning that failure has been achieved , now it does not posses the strength it had before , and to add that even where the material looks fine it is also now weaker than before , now in video u can see this person remove the piece which can be seen affected by the accident and just welded sheet together but this does not means that the metal is now in its orignal shape , it has welds now which also compromise stresses .
