I never laughed this hard in a long time. A robotic assist that misdetects silence as "not loud enough" and shoves the mic in your mouth could be real via poor software. Because of how anxiety and lack of agency in the moment makes comical exaggerations realistic, it only made the dream more hilarious when I heard about it. Prank your friends with it.

...Huh. So I'm not the only one that has "it's supposed to be a game but it's taking place in real life" types of dreams. Lately, I keep having dreams where I've "joined Hermitcraft", except it's not even about the game, it's just real-world me getting up to shenanigans with real-world equivalents of the Hermits. Grian, Mumbo, and I trampling Beef's garden... me driving on the freeway trying to protect Zedaph and Pearl from _murderous Seattle drivers_ they had pranked... I think there was even one where Hermitcraft was _a LAN party_ and I was the network admin trying to keep the thang ding running. It's not even Minecraft-specific or Hermitcraft-specific, almost every single video-game-related dream I've ever had has been "taking place in first-person in a real-world-ish location that I'm arbitrarily identifying as [insert game location here]". Dreams are freakin' weird, man.

I must have joined Hermitcraft about 10 times in a dream by now, and each time I think "wow, after having 9 dreams about joining Hermitcraft, it actually happens for real!" Most recently, I was able to do it by virtue of having the same username as someone who joined in season 1 or 2 for a few days and then never played minecraft again.

@@Scypek The funny part is, it never occurs to me in-dream that I have literally zero chance of ever joining the server... because I'm _terrible at the game_ (and not in a funny exaggerated way like some of their on-camera personalities, I mean I've genuinely never beaten Minecraft despite having played since the Alpha days, and mostly only play peaceful or creative), plus I know none of the Hermits irl (the only thing I have in common with _any_ of them is that Scar and I are both Washingtonians)...

And speaking of dreams, here’s a fun one of mine I had a couple months ago! :D Hide and seek(?) with Team STAR + telling Grian I got my signed TCG card and that I absolutely love it The first bit, my house and the world of Hermitcraft somehow got meshed together and I was on G Team, trying to spy on Team STAR. It basically turned into a silly game of hide and seek, and I was eventually found by Xisuma and Impulse. To play it off, I decided to pretend to be asleep and cover my face with my hands. They bought my little act and Xisuma decided to pick me up and bring me to a bed inside their team base (and probably try to recruit me when I woke up lol.) The next bit, I met Grian at this place that was like a cross between the play set area at Orr Family Farm and an arcade. I told him that I got my signed Hermitcraft TCG card and that I absolutely love it, and he asked me if I wanted to join him to go play some minigames with Tango and Skizz, ofc I said yes. It was all super fun and Tango and Skizz were pleasantly surprised to meet a fan Ahhh, I freaking love this one! Just good, wholesome vibes 💜

I had a funny Minecraft dream once. It was very short. I was standing in from of a Minecraft villager and the villager yells “Hey!” In Skizzleman’s voice. When I woke up I remembered the dream and thought it would be hilarious if someone made a resource pack that replaced all villager focalization’s with clips of Skizzleman. I imagine the villagers socializing and all saying “hey buddy” to each other.

LOL. X, I was going to eat. Impossible. That was the most hilarious story I have heared in ages. Those wierd dreams can be great. I love having them myself. A while back I even experimented with what to eat in the evening and when to sleep in an attempt to foster those kinds of dreams. In mine, one of the themes usually is me running. Usually to and from nowhere in particular, but it involves crazy parcour-like jumps over wild obstacles (like the ground breaking up, fires, trees falling, etc.).

That could be a brilliant idea.... People with hearing disabilities could find a self adjusting mic useful. Blind people also sometimes have trouble positioning the mic properly. Just food for thought, I work with people with disabilities.

When i dream of Minecraft, i dream that i AM in Minecraft, not just playing it. I AM the blockman now. Or I AM possessing the blockman and seeing them do stuff like a narrator who sees stuff from the character's own eyes. However, the world isn't necessarily blocky. I just Know it's Minecraft. Like the way mc characters would perceive it or smth. Idk what that says about me. Also, funny that this got recced to me now, because i just wrote down a dream.
