Hi Paul! Some very relaxed yet funky grooves here, perfect for a weekend afternoon like you say. Andy Hay is new to me, what a next level commitment to his craft, everything handmade it seems right down to the inserts. That very groovy 70's vibe we like so much, as well...never heard of Mattson2 either, I like the cover and the sound of that one...another great delivery of fresh jazzy sounds, cheers!

Hi Doug! Hope you are having a great weekend. I got the music for it ;) The hand made albums made by Andy Hay are one of a kind. A monstrosity of a job to make at least 250 albums. This was the second release of his music done this way. We are still having a little bit of late summer weather. Winter looks far away. Hope the same is true for you. Cheers. /Paul

Hi Paul, great to see someone featuring Andy. I have being enjoying his work for a few years now and pre-ordered both of his releases at the time of their announcement. Like you, I love his infectious enthusiasm for his work. The holistic artwork/music package allows for a real immersion into his work as you listen to it. Music aside, I have had a few enjoyable DM discussions with him and recently purchased some of his artwork for my listening room. He's a top bloke, personally and musically. And his positivity shines through in his music. I am a huge fan of Embryo - my favourite of all of the German groups of the cosmiche era. I am lucky to have originals of all of their work up to Life (w/ Karnataka) with the exception of the brutal "Surfin'" and their debut (Opal). Great stuff Paul.

Really digging the label and the music on the Greg Foat album. I like the way that the label looks when it is spinning. >< Nice to see that Embryo released a new album. I have an original pressing of Steig Aus on Brain if I remember right. The one that you cued up at the 14:52 mark is dynamite. What is the name of that one? Thanks Paul. Once again. You surely delivered the fresh jazzy sound goods~ Rob/Boston

Hi Rob! Hope all is well. Just watched your new music room video. Looking good. Cool to hear you have some of the original Embryo albums. Turkish 45s are real special. They experimented and sometimes hit the jackpot. Like on the one I needle dropped by Emin Fındıkoğlu. Pretty rare, It's not even on Discogs. Happy it was part of the bootleg. Have a great weekend. i really do like the embryo cover in terms of it giving off a proper krautrock x psychedelia vibe with its vintage graphic design vibe. plus: the beats of the second song you sampled from that bosporus bridge album are really hard and should be sampled by some proper oldskool leaning hiphop artists.
@XjunkieNL2 жыл бұрын
Hi! It must be me, I didn't connect with the Embryo cover. Turkish 45's can be a wonderful source for psychedelic beats. Never gone in that rabbit hole. I checked, the second song I sampled was by Emin Fındıkoğlu. Have a great weekend. Cheers. /Paul

Can I start by saying, well done on another amazing episode. Ive been listening to pretty much all your recommendations this week. I hope you dont mind, but i wanted to offer some feedback.
