Hi Trish! Nice to see you stopping by for some cool jazzy tunes. Thanks for the thumbs up! Have a great musical weekend. Cheers. /Paul

Hi Paul! Some really great jazzy sounds on this one, Kahil El'Zabar sounds funky on the one hand, yet also quirky and very percussion oriented...kind of a 70's fusion feel on the David Versace...Misha Panfilov sounds very nice as well, cool to have a dedicated test pressing (actually just got my first ever test press, will be coming in a future video!). Very tempted to get the Ernest Ranglin but have not as yet - it was previously reissued on a Japanese edition which quickly appreciated in price and this may do the same. It is largely jazzy covers of reggae classics including the clip you played. Cheers, take care!

Hi Doug! Cool to hear you got your first test pressing. Probably a vinyl junkie talking, but there is just something special about it :) The RSD records for sure were priced up. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the Ernest Ranglin record was pressed again in a different color for the US market. The record has a great vibe. Have a great weekend. Cheers. /Paul

The Versace album sounded really good Paul, loved the fast pace and rhythm. You are the first person I have seen show the Oceans 12 soundtrack. I totally missed that one. Always great to hear your newest jazzy finds Paul. Have a funky week

Hey Steve! I'm also a bit surprised the Ocean's Twelve soundtrack doesn't pop up more often. It was a bit pricy, but is a really great album. Have a funky great weekend :) Cheers. /Paul

If you don’t have them all three of the El Zabar LPs on Sound Aspects are fantastic.

Hi Dave! This was the first one in the collection. The records by Kahil El'Zabar are not easy to get overhere for some reason. Will check them out online. Thanks for the tip. Have a great weekend. Cheers. /Paul

talking broken beat and related stuff - have you seen that kaidi tatham has a new 12" out on the YORE label?

Hi! I don't think I have seen the new Kaidi Tatham. Something to check :) As we discussed before it's hard to keep up with all vinyl releases these days. Have a great weekend. Cheers. /Paul

@@XjunkieNL that's true. and it's just a 12" on usually more house music oriented label so mit might be a little under teh radar for album oriented collectors anyway.

Listening to it now :) It has that Kaidi bounce. Best description I read was jazz-infused deep house. Sounds pretty good to me. Too bad the EP holds only 2 tracks. /Paul

@@XjunkieNL probably due to maximize sound quality and impact for dj's. the more sound material you squeeze onto a side the quiter it gets. if you want to get maximum bass bump, you gotta stay at a maximum of 6-7 minutes per side.
