I had a very hard crash with my Blade 360 CFX 3S heli the other day. Blew out two servos one of which was repaired the other dead. Now it’s flying like new again and that is what I like about helis, you crash you replace the broken parts and your heli is as new and looks new. Keep flying, it’s such a hard hobby to master but damn it’s so rewarding.

Awesome, thank you! This is a looker for sure, and have you considered flying it inside? It's a great, super stable flying heli. If you're a good heli pilot, you can get it flying indoors, with a big enough room, for sure!

And yesterday my swashplate broke so I had to order a new metal one because they are out of stock of the stock one and wont have more till October. That 30 day warranty isn't really good for anything unless your missing a part or something they wouldnt do anything for me plus what it says in their warranty policy. Luckily the metal swashplate is only $8.49 so that's cool at least
@Kruzin873 жыл бұрын
And I only got it on the 25th so I'm pretty frustrated that this happened one of the little balls that hold the arm for the pitch of the rotor blades broke off some how but at least now metal shouldn't break period lol

I really like it! I love flying both. They look so cool, and I'm not a great heli pilot.
@ambrosekillpack48412 жыл бұрын
my recommendation for installing rotor blades is to tighten them until they are rigid and then slowly back them off little by little until they are free swinging, this way they are no looser than they absolutely HAVE to be.

Thanks!
@joetrujillo71604 жыл бұрын
How tight do u get the screws for blades bro?
@BrianPhillipsRC4 жыл бұрын
So they don't move then back them off about 1/4 to 1/2 so they swing free.

No need to feel like you gotta do rolls or loops, just practice getting comfortable flying without safe or stability mode turned on. Get comfortable flying knowing your control is all you have to keep the heli from crashing. After flying like that for a while it becomes second nature and then you can start practicing aerobatics such as rolls, loops, flips and flying inverted. I’m just now flying my Blade 360 in forward flight and it’s 100% my control, Blade 360 CFX comes with zero rescue or bank limit features. You should try to master that with your tiny indestructible helis before moving on to bigger unless you want something that’s bigger that still offers an easy forgiving flight mode such as the Blade 230S.

This advice sounds like what I tell people trying to learn to fly airplanes for the first time :) I've flown a couple collective pitch heli's now, but with some aid, except for the first one, which spent more time on the shelf then in the air. Flying airplanes does translate well, in my experience, but helis really get away from you quick, if you let them, or you're reckless with your thumbs. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can fly them well!!! Thanks for the tips! Every day you fly, you should learn something new!!!

All your models turning out to be nicely in scale with respect to eachother - I guess not by design, but is a great thing. I myself however collect RC's acc to roughly 1:32 scale as i plan on making a massive aircraft career one day for my models.

XK stuff really is packed well. It also flies great in 6G, their 3G is a bit overly aggressive for me in stock settings...needs a bit of toning down unless you want to fly serious 3d, which I don't.

Hi, Very grateful to you, I pray for the best for you. Is this good for beginners indoors? Thank you
@BrianPhillipsRC6 жыл бұрын
Indoors, probably not the best choice, since you could damage stuff around the house with a crash. However, if you want to fly this thing outside, and you have basic heli skills, you might find that it is excellent outside! Sorry for the slow reply...we've been running like crazy with our new house build, and work has been similarly crazy ;)

I have one of these, it's a damn great flying heli, stable, predictable and rock solid. Not good in breeze or wind but other than that it's amazing in all respects. Do not recommend for a beginner though. Don't be fooled by its small size, this a real collective pitch heli.
@BrianPhillipsRC2 жыл бұрын
YES! I still can't believe how amazing these scale models, that ACTUALLY FLY, look in the air!!!
@rcas350pilot82 жыл бұрын
@@BrianPhillipsRC Would like to add that I installed the metal swashplate and aluminum blade grips. These are sold by MRC as upgrades and I believe they make the heli fly better. Also remove two screws from each side and pull the tail motor plug out of the flight control board. The entire guts of the thing comes right out making it super easy to work on. I swear this flies as good as my Goblin Buddy 380, just not as powerful.

There is a knowledge base if you want to do more than print baubles from thingiverse. CAD. You may already know it, but I don't. I got Fusion 360 'cause of all the youtube tutorials. A little guy in Australia, Maker's Muse, seems quite knowledgeable on the software.

One more thing, you keep saying that the little USB chargers will overshoot the current that is safe for the battery. This is actually simply not true. The USB charging brick is actually something called a switched mode power supply similar to what is inside of your PC. And as a guy who builds computers, I can tell you that these actually do not work that way. Switched mode power supplies actually do not supply more current than what the load on the other end is actually demanding. They are specifically designed this way and is actually why you can put a 1000 watt power supply inside a computer that only needs 300 watts without any ill effects. And actually, the average efficiency of most switched mode power supplies is actually about 80%. So you actually want the USB power brick to be rated for about 20% more power than you are actually using on the load.
