I really appreciate all your videos and the time it takes for you to do these. The production is amazing and I use them often. Today I went into the audio store to purchase the needed cables for this and I was told this is slightly more complicated than it needs to be. Hopefully, this makes sense but this is what they told me and it works seamlessly! Just fewer adapters = fewer cables. iRig2 Into Phone. 6.5mm to 3.5mm TRS in "amp" spot. This 3.5mm goes into stereo splitter red. Yellow is for monitoring audio on CH. AUX side of the stereo splitter goes into the mic input on top of H5. The other side of the iRig2 6.5mm to 3.5 TRS in LINE OUT spot. Adjust settings on H5 to isolate channels and you should be golden!

Interesting idea, it's slightly different for sure I have not thought about it this way but may check it out in the future. At the moment there is no time for it though 🙈 as I am building out my new studio setup. But I hope others may find this and be inspired to try your setup as well.

Thanks A LOT! Just one more thing. How is if I have a DJ set to play from my Mac to Clubhouse?
@ChrisSpiegl3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the equipment you have. Ideal would be an audio interface to send audio to clubhouse, but in theory you could also just link it up with the headphone jack.

Hey Chris. Awesome video. I have got it all working on my Zoom H6 after following your instructions. My only question is that I am also playing some music out of my laptop via USB using the USB Audio Interface setting on the H6. All works fine as I can hear the music and myself talking on my mic as well as Clubhouse but I am unable to record the audio to my SD card whilst I am in USB Audio Interface mode. Any ideas?
@ChrisSpiegl3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, let me first say that I do not have a H6 on hand and I may be wrong but here are my ideas and thoughts: I don't think the H6 can record while in audio interface mode. However, there are two solutions. Solution 1: record on the computer when in multi track mode. You already have the Audio Interface mode active, why not use a program on your computer to do the recording? Solution 2: Instead of using Audio Interface mode, you could also just use a AUX cable (TRS to TRS) and link the laptop headphone port to the stereo input on the top capsule of the H6. This ofcourse assumes that 1) you don't need the capsule mic and 2) you don't need the audio from the H6 back on your computer for skype or something. So that's what I think could work but let me know how it goes.

@@ChrisSpiegl Hey Chris. Thanks for getting back to me on this. I don't have the cables for option 2 so I tried option 1 but it didn't seem to work. The cable going from my H6 in Audio Interface Mode to my pc is allowing my pc music to come back into my H6. I also have a mic plugged into my H6 which is getting picked up by Audacity on the pc for recording as the H6 is selected as the microphone but it won't record the music playing on my pc because the input device is the H6. Any ideas?

@@alexkain4246/videos Depending on your if you use macOS or Windows you may be able to simply route the audio internally on your computer to the audio recording programm: You could check out Loopback ( crsp.li/Loopback ) or Blackhole ( existential.audio/blackhole ) on macOS and VB-Cable ( vb-audio.com/Cable/ ) on Windows. Then you setup your recording program to record the signal form the H6 + the Local Routed Signal as well as a second track. Giving you a recording of both at the same time.

Is it possible to record music with a UHF wireless pickup?

I do have a zoom H5, but the complexity of the cords and the connections is too fussy. Does the roadcaster pro make this plug and play simple? Can I use my XLR microphone in clubhouse and still monitor audio from the app and also from my mic? If I use a roadcaster pro do I still need the iRig? Again thank you so much for your time and expertise.

Thank you for this amazing video! It's been super helpful. My first question is with your current set-up, how would you add background music in? Could you connect audio, say from another device into the 2nd XLR and would that go back into the Clubhouse/Twitter Space? Secondly, I've got a Zoom H5, but not an iRig 2. Is there a setup you can do where you use the Zoom H5 as the USB audio interface plugged into the iPhone? I'd be interested to see this in action.
@ChrisSpiegl3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, first question: yes, all the inputs on the audio recorder should be sent to the Clubhouse or Twitter Space. Second question: problem here is that in USB Audio Interface mode these are not recognized as phones and the Clubhouse implementation expects the headset/audio input/mic to act as if it was a phone call. I don't know about the Twitter Spaces yet as I was not able to test those at this time.

What would I have to change to do a similar setup on a zoom H6?
@ChrisSpiegl3 жыл бұрын
I think the Zoom H6 setup would practically look very much the same. You have the top capsule with a TRS input, you have a headphone out, you can pan audio to either the left or right channel, and so on. So it's practically the same as far as I can tell. I have used the Zoom H6 in the past, however, I do not have one here to test it out. But from all I remember it is basically the same as in this video.
