@@huckleberryfinn6578 their last copycat was the P7. These G9 and G6 use 800V and push higher voltage through its power train. They developed their own SiC chips and oil-based cooling to handle the heat from higher voltage. G6 is way more efficient than Y. No other company is close to mastering SiC 800V tech. Tesla wishes it does for Cybertruck and Semi. It would solve a lot of their problems.

On may the 8th I orderd a G6, It will be comeing to Denmark (thats where I live) in August with at posiblity to test drive it before buying it in July. I bought a G9 and really enjoyed its super fast charging and auto driving in Shanghai. Now I'm on a long business trip in Singapore. I really really miss my G9. Its definitely one of the smartest car on the market with the best voice assistsnt (only in Chinese at the moment) to give it a sci-fi feel. My friends who had taken a ride with my G9 all got impressed and felt that the Smart Car Era has come. I have personally got a five-minute experience with the new G6 during the current Shanghai Auto Show 2023 (everyone is only given 5 minute on the car as there is a long queue of people who want to experience the new car). I would say the interior design of G6 is cleaner, younger but G9's is obviously more luxuriously-looking. But given the price range (around 200k-300k CNY), G6 is really the cheapest Smart Car capable of true ADAS or the smartest car at its price range. Unfortunately, Chinese market prefers cars with large inner space, low price and strong brand value. Xpeng's cars were not designed to meet those preferences, that's why they didn't make good sales. That's really a pity for a company that spends so much on innovation and driving the technology to next level.

Xpeng cars are great buys. I had almost decided to go for a P7 in spite of the small trunk opening and low roof in the back seats. Now I Wonder when G6 will come to Norway, and if it also will have the excellent shock absorbers and be as fun to drive as the P7. G6 would be a more sensible choice. But P7 looks better in my opinion.

I think the Chinese govt did excellent in preventing a real estate implosion, halted big techs from forming monopolies, channel some of their wealth back into society and stopped the capitalists from creating an unhealthy education sector. They did what a responsible govt would have done, and they did it in double quick time over a span of just 2 years, in the midst of a pandemic to add. The country is now more prepared than ever to face the upcoming financial crisis the US has once again brought forth to the world. Sure, investors don't like uncertainties, but investors are also irrational. The US stock market, just like the country, is a bubble of debt that's about to unravel dramatically in the coming years.

not only the p5 better than camry but the p7 also better than model 3. do y get that? much better and comfy and insulated driving experience than bumpy loud model 3. also want to remember y that tesla self driving system is not superior anymore, they removed sensors and are working with cameras, try that while raining you will see, so many owners reporting phantom braking during normal driving. xpeng self driving is better now because they have cameras, sensors and lidar. sorry to disappoint you but tesla fanboys dont seem to think about that

here is my theory why xpeng is not selling well: xpeng spend too much money on autonomous driving, and probably close to 1/4 of the cost of its products are for AIDAS parts. But there are products in the market that are comparable except for the AIDAS parts. when those products are 20% cheaper, consumers think "do i really want to pay that much more for auto pilot that isn't even legal"? the conclusion is easy: NO. This is a bad business decision. xpeng is gonna pay dearly for this strategy. the timing is simply wrong, too early. when xpeng is on the edge of bankruptcy, byd or GWM or Geely may come in the buy it for next to nothing. that is what i think is gonna happen.

If you don't invest early, then how can you be the leader when the time finally arrives? ADAS is not something you can just throw money at in the last minute and expect things to work the next day. XPeng is playing the long game. If you have been monitoring Chinese social media, you will realise that XPeng's ADAS is starting to pull away from its peers. This will become even more obvious come the end of this year when Phase 2 of XNGP roles out where HD Maps are no longer needed even for City ADAS.

Xpeng cars each model has different hardware, senor and camera and their software has to be specific to each models. For example the P9 hardware is dfferent from P7, software use on P7 will not work on P9. Most of their car system software is not redundant so if one system fail your car crash. They have a lot of major issue the company is telling you, my friends working there told me

Sandy munro tear down during summer 2020 proved this for anyone to see. 👍🏻 Dual single piece f&r castings along with the structural 4680 pack seats mounted on top shown at battery day Sep 2020. First car with all those innovations made in August 2021 at Teratx. First car sold publicly with them in April 2022 at cyber rodeo event. Multiple tear downs and wrecks since then prove the existence of castings and structural pack videos right here on KZbin. But xpeng somehow someway lead the way here. Chinese range.. = minus 20%.. so about 380 miles.. which is still very good.. but lets not pretend you’ll ever see that claimed 480 mile range without hyper miling. And lets not pretend there’s anywhere to get 450 kw charging speeds. Well, maybe in China.. idk.. though i still doubt it. Xpeng doesn’t just follow Tesla.. they literally copy them. Which is not a terrible idea where you can get away with it. But certainly doesn’t make me want to buy the copy cat. I mean shit.. this is the same company that Tesla sued for robing their autopilot tech when they started. Now.. that’s a long time ago and clearly Xpeng is doing some of their own work since.. but i certainly wouldn’t give them my money. Not impressed with them.

You should catch up on the 2-year-old news. Tesla had nothing on their ex-staff, much less XPeng, and had to settle with their ex-staff out of court. XPeng was never even party to the case. Independent party has confirmed that XPeng did not copy anything from Tesla, to the dismay of Tesla. The whole code-theft thing was made up by Elon Musk, which his fans believed hook line and sinker.

Sorry mate, but this is one of the dullest, ugliest looking EVs I have seen in a long while. I know looks is not everything but it do matters to a certain degree in the car market.I bet this one will flop hard. The G9 on the other hand, is a real beauty👌
