I have been seeing China has been making a lot of advancements in cancer treatments in the recent years, some of the technology and medicines might be even better than the American's but perhaps at a small fraction of the price. @electricviking regarding your comment on wanting sport mode steering setup, i run my G6 in Individual mode, where i set sport steering and rest to standard mode, i agree on the steering but in my daily driving i dont need the extra usage of power in sport mode, standard is enough for me, so to combine standard mode with sport steering set it to individual mode. Come highly recommended from me personally.

I test drove a G6 and the car is fantastic. These are 2 of the main draw backs. TrueEV processes and communications and limited charging infrastructure are for me secondary concerns

Takes me back Sam, takes back!! It was beach zoo, travelled the state for hockey, netball and cross country. My son and 2 daughters, the wrecking crew always left surprises in the back seat for me 😅. That was 20 years ago. Now we have a back seat protector from cabin crew and our 4 legged companion. Saves a heap of work, bet it works for boys with wet board shorts as well 👌. Enjoy the Xpeng! Xpeng seems to be on the right track for succes. Didn't buy the car, but did get some XPEV ;-). Unlike a car, there was no depreciation but apreciation. Thanks :-) In general, good videos, keep it going.

Sam - please do an episode on the BYD 8-in-1 eDrive unit. Together with gigacasting and OTA updates, it demonstrates how far behind the traditional OEs are. GM, Ford just can’t do this - primarily for organizational and sourcing strategy issues. Very sad. I lived this in my years at Ford.

It's -20C here for the last 48 hours, my car has been outside the whole time. This morning, I went out to start it and let it run for 30 minutes with the heater, defrosters and seat/steering wheel heaters all going. Then I go in the house, have coffee for 30 minutes, then go out and drive off in a nice warm car. I have a question for EV owners... If I get an EV and leave it on the street at -20C for 48 hours. Then I go out to start it and run the heater, defrosters, and seat warmers for 30 minutes while it warms up. How much mileage will the battery lose?

I think you may have ppf and ceramic coating mixed up. Ppf is more like 5k. Ceramic coating is around 1.5k from dealer.

It would help if you could give info that corresponded to different regions. I calculated that 17kwh/100km converts to 3.5 miles per kWh which is really only average. A Tes 3 gets 4.3miles/kWh (better) and an Audi sq8 gets 1.9 miles/kWh (terrible). I have noticed kWh/km, miles/kWh, watts/mile, are different comparisons used.

The advice about getting PPF and window tint etc via the dealer is terrible advice. It’s easy to find a decent place to get PPF, ceramic coating and window tint. Dealers are a complete rip off for all of that stuff!

Hi Sam I have a G6 on order. Looks like delivery has been delayed due to a problem in china. Great to see your review and in particular your driving settings. Is there any update on using Tesla fast chargers? We drove a Zeeka X yesterday for about 100km. It was very impressive just a bit too small for us. We are still tossing around waiting for the 7X. If only we knew the price so we can make a comparison. Love your channel. Keep up these reviews. 👍

Isn't the delivery delay due to workers' strike at various ports in Australia?

I believe the delays have been to do with all the industrial action at our ports (affecting delivery of all sorts of things from ships) - even now that the strikes have finished there's a massive backlog of ships waiting to berth. e.g. the ship carrying shipment #2 of G6s was supposed to go to Brisbane, then Port Kembla (NSW) and then Melbourne - took ages before they could finally get into Brisbane and then they skipped Pork Kembla and went to Melbourne and now back to NSW - they've been off the coast of Port Kembla waiting to get a berth for a few days now

One pedal driving is somewhat of a gimmick, because people who use it - for some reason believe that it's more efficient because they're under the impression that only 1 pedal driving utilises regenerative braking. However in most EVs, the brake pedal ALSO uses regenerative braking at least to the point when the car slows down to such a low speed that regen isn't enough to slow the car. Even 1 pedal driving has to introduce friction braking at very slow speeds, when the car's velocity is too slow for regeneration to function.
