Xqc talks about morality in the joker like joker being completely sane and in a perfect state of mind. Berates him and calls him a coward for chasing down the guy who assaulted him and killing him. Yes bro obviously not morally right you’re a genius. Guy lives in a mansion eternally online so he can’t fathom a mentally ill person being so broken by society and nothing going his way even after his best efforts that he might not make the right moral decisions EVERY time. No xqc the movie is not about cowardice. You missed the entire point.

the movie is not "about cowardice". But that doesn't mean that the Joker is not a coward. He is. He's a sympathetic character at times - but it's entirely reasonable to see that he is overtly morally corrupt, and that is ultimately a choice HE made. Sure, society led him there. But he chose extreme immorality and thus, cowardice. That's why I find it difficult to ever empathize with the Joker.
@c0mplete
@c0mplete 2 ай бұрын
@@WhiskyChordata Stop it bro, being immoral is not synonymous with cowardice. The joker did a lot in this movie a ”coward” would never dare to do. For example going on a talk show, confronting the man that made fun of his stand up routine. In front of a stage crowd and thousands or millions watching at home. Pleeaaaase tell me a coward would.

on the point of cowardice. its true to some degree. but u dont understand deep severe trauma. most of these "villains" have things that are not portrayed well. their sense of right and wrong, their identity (identity crisis from lack of belongingness/abuse and such). and ultimately, most of them most likely suffer from some sort of mental disorder which most likely includes dissociation. the way they perceive and view the world, and even their own emotions/motives is extremely skewed. they can even think and act like all of us, but they will never feel the same. you think its easier to be evil and do bad things? go to a jail/county prison, ask the average murderers and criminals whether their acts "were easy" on their conscience. versus, go to a maximum security prison, and then interview a "psychopath" and whether their acts "were easy". you will get 2 different answers. normal people find it extremely hard to really go down and kill someone, even if you are on rage roids or some shit. its just extremely hard to kill someone. ask any army veterans from any country, unless they went through some sort of dehumanizing training, its very hard to kill someone, much less torture them or kill them in a way that is inhumane (skinning their face; collecting their watches/items/fingernails and such, etc). well, but its good that you dont understand, not to disregard your intellect. its nothing to do with intellect. it just means you were never at the other end. you will only understand all too well when you literally are at the edge of it or you are literally there. its like telling a born blind person to visually imagine a tree or a forest, its much easier for him to actually see the tree. no matter how you describe it to him, its just impossible for him to know how it feels to see an actual tree/forest.

Tarantino spoke about the Joker after watching it. Like most directors and movie writers, he doesnt like super hero movies because mostly glorified 2-hour long advertisements for merchandise powered by nostalgia. "i would have definitely liked it as a child back when i was collecting comics, but im a grown man". Even more so when he calls this movie a remake of Taxi Driver but with DC characters. But the one thing that shocked him and made him respect the movie was the ending. When Joker shoots the show host, Tarantino realizes that this movie made him cheer for a mass shooter. The movie made millions of audiences who are perfectly normal people cheer for a mass shooter and want more chaos and death

@@haiscore2614'change' is a concept & an abstraction that is a paradoxical concept by nature. the concept is only made to make a contrived essence of the way that is the basic form of understanding and how that gets determined in its absolute truth but in actuality, that gets contradicted because of nature not being able to determine actual 'change' - so with that notion within the Human Genome into bringing 'corruption' in regards to Higher Power alluding to change because of the 'Higher Power' - then you can't determine the 'change' because of Humans setting a higher power in general such as taking over lands, creating profit for the sake of profit etc. now it's where 'Redemption' comes along, and it is a form of 'change' - since you can't determine the idea of change within someone or anything by nature considering how it's contradictory by not being able to fight 'nature' within yourself as a human being... despite this, that doesn't mean you can't 'alter' to what's already inside of you and so for someone such as Kratos, his 'Redemption' isn't a thing to be determined with an idea of 'change' because it was always a built up thing for him that circumnavigated it's way into towards where Kratos was shaped into the circumstances that he was given and chose to abide and revel in it... "morality" is an abstract that's stemmed from an idea to give 'meaning' against the haphazardly on what the basis level of Good and Evil offers, despite that it isn't the case because of how "morality" as a concept is paradoxical by or against nature... there's no measures to deter a set of principles between Good and Evil for you to be deemed as 'moral' since the contradiction plays at hand with the concept of 'immoral' that's stemmed from 'moral' but it plays contradictory connotations with the concept of 'moral' by acknowledging the alignment and principles through Good and Evil, and Immoral is deemed to differentiate those who apparently don't set the standards of what's 'moral' which for some reason alludes to 'Good'... Amoral on the other hand, is the contradictory opposite to what 'moral' is and is instead generalised through the notion of not caring or dwelling or not grasping on the notion of what's 'right and wrong' - which the definition plays a hand of it being deemed 'different' despite 'morality' having the same or connotating paradoxical play...

I don’t know if I fully agree with the explanation on culturally flippant morality. I think if you’re talking about eating a dog or something that’s different. But if you’re talking about core fundamental morality like killing people, stealing, raping, beating up a pregnant lady, enjoying someone else’s suffering, I’m pretty sure that’s universally agreed on to be bad with out any influence of upbringing. You’re literally born being disturbed certain things not just instinctually but on a personal level.

Tate is the perfect example of this, how many were cheering on him as if he became their role model because he's a "real man" "gigabased" etc while the guy ran the illegal cam shows, pyramid schemes and who knows what to get money. Sure he isn't the joker but he's a good example of a modern "villain" who won the sympathy of so many just because he had like 3/10 takes people agreed with leading them to try and act like him or just got finessed into his pyramid scheme bs.

Honestly it kinda worries me how many chatters were idolizing Anton from No Country For Old Men. These people were really using Chad emote for a man slaughtering innocent people. It’s just scary to imagine which of them actually wants to go out and do these things.

@@gianni50725 There are crazy people out there you realize that right? I know you want to believe everyone is normal, but I’ve watched enough murderer interrogation content on KZbin to know there are people out there who obsess about doing evil things, and they usually idolize people like Anton. It’s statistically likely that at least a few of the chatters are genuinely like that. They probably torture small animals in their spare time.

@@jjjtalon You missed my point. I’m not saying No Country For Old Men makes them psychopaths who commit crimes. I’m saying psychopaths idolize characters like Anton. There are discord mods who dream about murdering people, and look up a whole bunch of shit about it, and their favorite characters are killers who do what they personally wish to do. I’m not describing all watchers of the movie, I’m describing psychopaths who think being evil is right, because they read some “deep” quote about how morals are fake.

The video xqc watched, the guys reasoning for a ton of villains is just "Oh they have a sad backstory" Or "They say they don't mean too or feel bad doing it" So that means they're okay. If ya wanna go into complexities, theres a middle-ground for everything. Everything is different but can be the same. Not that hard. Also goes into everyones owns opinions and our own morals. Someone who had a sad backstory then shot-up a school should not get sympathy. Taking down pieces of shits is different than a piece of shit hurting others.

"so this guy is the bad guy right? wait the other guy isn't good either? i'm confused... who's the good guy " brother it's fiction representing how nuanced humans are in real life, yes someone who shot up a school is a monster, but that doesn't mean they aren't a human who got to that point somehow, and you can recognize the forces that led someone to a dark path while still condemning the path they walked

i think that xQc could be wrong or right at when he talks about its wrong to attack when someone runs away. Just because someone is trying to run away after doing a bad action does not now make it not ok to do something. that is crazy. If someone walks up stabs a officer and then starts to run away, of course its ok for the officer to take out there gun and kill the person. its not a edgy thing to believe that. If someone bumps into, Yells at you and then walks away. This is a good example of no you dont have the rite to take out a gun to kill them. i use the officer as a example and not a normal citizen because sadly it depends on what state you are in for that to be ok or not if its a normal person. I also believe in New-York city you aren't even aloud to be carrying a gun but could be wrong on that.
