Great vid. Got a question tho, does the beam and desired casting device have to have on the same wifi? I don’t have in home internet, my only technical access in through my iPhone hotspot. I have a Roku and use my hotspot to to mirror to my tv, would this work the same?

Have you figured out a way to charge the beam while using it? If yes, can you make a video on it? Ideal setup would be to charge the beam and the input device at the same time but I'm happy if I can just charge the beam for now.

See, I did more research on this and even asked in the Xreal Subreddit but everyone is saying that the beam charging indicator is on, but it never gets enough wattage to sustain indefinite usage and the battery will run out. So I am confused as to how you have found a solution?

I love this video and have just one question. If I am casting to the XBeam with something like KZbin, can I close my phone? This way I can find what I want to watch and once its playing, close the phone screen and chill with a movie. If anyone has an answer please let me know. I am stuck between the XReal/XBeam and the Rokid Max AR..... Help!

So the glasses have to be tethered to the beam and the beam needs to be tethered to a device that's not castable so can you use a wireless HDMI with the beam that might be a good video

No it won't work like that since it's being projected and xreal isn't installed on your device.

I'm not sure, i don't have a pixel phone to test with. You don't need a phone to use spacial display now with the beam.

Yes, but only if you have the beam as well. the station will connect to the beam, but not straight to the glasses with out the beam.

That's pretty awesome. I'll wait until I can get virtual desktop like features from a mobile, like they have with Mac's right now. Also the idea of the Beam is really irritating, I don't want another bulky item to carry around. Unless someone can enlighten me on why the Beam is required for is your mobile supports Alt Display mode. A pre-requisite is the feature where the screen stay's in the exact same place.

@@KingKola_ in the cast window I click on x real beam 124 says connecting for a little while then the times out never connects since the update I used a another ulefone and connected for about 20 seconds disconnected and hasn't been able to reconnect again got to display of the phone in the glasses Don't know if it's the beam or if it was the update...the update happened two days after I got the classes I believe I received the glasses on August 15th... Display was working fine before the second update watching videos and running apps even use the thermal imaging camera through the glasses I tried a few other old phones but none of them are on the list or would connect... Might just have to see if I could pick up a cheap phone that's on the list... Thanks for the videos Will keep an eye on your channel thanks

Desktop Mode on MOST Android if not ANY? REALLY?! Surely I am missing more than something. please tell me what it is. Did you reearch and find these niche Android phones or just happen to have it? BC even though some just do, the XPs arent polished enough and also bc ive been trying to set up the cheapest possible rig for ANDROID HIDDEN DESKTOP MODE for a few years with you name it: Casting to Android Stick/morroring/Customizing ROM/Trying new phones (from REDMI 2 Prime upto SD680 SoC Budgets)/USB C 2.0 to HDMI cable/Emulation APPS: Taskbar/Sentio/Laptop DOCK: NEXDock/etc from top of my head But Finally ended up buying a Device with DEX support. OnePlus n LG had it but didnt see them developing post Android 11 if i rem right. So i think I just wanna confirm if I Failed Hard in testing these . atleast its the sense i get after watching your video

The miracast probably isn't initiating, run the tutorial sequence that shows how to connect to an iphone. That usually triggers it to come on.
