this is the best solution out there as i've virtualy seen no usb c hubs with passthrough usb c charging that also have a second port supporting video output they only support data. there seems to be a few similap cable options on allie express to wire youre nreal to a ps5 and so on but they are roughly the same price or more expensive, and you have the usb- non angled pluging right in the nreal stem port. However these other options allow you to make this work on anything that doesn't work with a usb c hub.

You are using an active (powered) converter (in the hub) to convert DP signal to HDMI, then _another_ active (powered) converter (in the adapter) to convert the HDMI signal back to DP. That is _a lot_ of roundabout unnecessary power drained and heat generated. Why don't you just use a USB-C DP alt mode hub that has a USB-C DP alt mode out (j5create JCD401 Dual 4K Multi-Port Hub for instance)? Just plug the hub into the phone, the glasses and PD charger or battery pack into the hub and you're done. It's DP signal all the way through so you won't have to deal with audio shenanigans either.

I searched the entire internet and yours is closest i could find to connect xreal glasses to a phone while charging the phone at the sametime. Unfortunately you are using android samsung.. i am using iphone 12 which use lightning.. im not sure what to buy in order to make it to work with an iphone 12 (lightning port).. luckily my ipad is using usb-c .. so im guessing i can use all those accessories you listed to mirror an ipad to the xreal while charging the ipad.. but my ipad always stays home.. because its too big to carry around.. so the iphone is best but not sure if we can do the same with an iphone. Another id like to do is to watch movies that come from my cable tv company.. but their tv receiver only has 1 hdmi output which goes to My movie theater receiver which then goes to my tv on the wall.. i don’t want to unplug anything as every cables and sockets are hard to reach .. im looking for a way to watch tv source coming from the cable company on the xreal without unplugging my tv.. what do you propose?

Thanks to this video I realized the mistake and ordered the recommended hdmi to usb c, and in the reviews for that product are people saying that it works for nreal glasses. I meannn, yeahh that works and all but I would just skip that entire set up and just set my phone on a wireless fast charger. It doesn't even have to be a fast wireless charger. That's just what I pressonally would use. Chances are you probably already have a wireless charging pad somewhere at home. If not, it'll definitely be wayyy cheaper to just buy it instead of having to buy a USB-C hub and the USB-C to HDMI adapter.

Should work on PC, that hub you bought....the 2nd type C port has to be a Gen 2 or higher- transfer speed 10 Mbps and higher I believe(thunderbolt wires are similiar)

No this will not work. Those are one type splitters. Either splitting 2 displays or 2 data, not a display signal and power signal. There's a lot of circuitry involved in combining a power signal and a display signal. .

To be honest, 10 out 10 for Enginuity but not clean enough for me to be on the move. My solution is cleaner and cheaper, wireless charging battery and two elastic bands. Works perfectly. just ensure wireless charging battery outputs enough wattage to charge while glasses are in use. Also using zfold 4

Nice setup but quite a bit to walk around with. I tried all these and it works. Then I decided to save up and got me a $123 X-Beam for Air 2 and now I can go anywhere withy my Air. Bought a portable power bank and hooked up to my X-Beam so it's charging while using my Air 2. X-Beam fully charged will give you 3hr charge, but just in case. I know $123 quite expensive but totally worth it.

I pre-ordered the beam and i'm hoping it's the game changer i think it will be. As far as the rokid max, i love everything about it except the shape and it seems xreal dominates in the software side of things. For an example xreal is always coming out with new updates that adds features, whereas the rokid doesn't seem to do as much, and their mobile app is no where near as comprehensive as xreal's. Here's how i see it, Rokid max came out as 7/10 product and it won't get much better than that. Xreal came out as a 6/10 but with software updates it's already 8/10 and will very soon be around a 10/10. I'm currently testing their nebula for windows beta and man it's a game changer. That was a long answer but hopefully you get my point.

A bit of googling and I can see why you can't use a splitter. The way USB C power delivery works is beyond a "regular splitter" and seems like a gigantic headache. As far as a device with two USB ports, seems like it'd work fine, honestly because the device (ASUS ROG) is handling the power delivery and negotiation.

I do have a wireless power bank and myself, but the charging speed isn't adequate for my use, and I hate having to strap it down every time
