I doubt this would be Carry Optics legal anyway. No frame ride optics, I doubt they would consider this slide mounted given it’s non-reciprocating. This is sort of a blow back design. Very nice holster and the two slides are bad ass. Imagine the tolerances to change slide uppers to other guns. The Heizer PKO 45acp missed the big opportunity, a narrow 45acp is a pain to shoot. But the Heizer PKO design if in 40cal with a simular barrel under bushing in a race gun would be a real performer.

The Eastern European gun industry is killing it. Sadly, another industry we used to lead the world in that is falling by the wayside. CZ is buying Colt, that's it in a nutshell. A shame the big label companies here can`t innovate like this.
@robertthurman37434 жыл бұрын
I agree. Remington couldn't make their stuff cheap enough to be attractive to people looking at semi-custom/boutique gear. Some/enough American shooters have been willing to pay for a little better gear than you can get from the factories. And, to your point, the European hardware is great. American companies, especially the ones that have been bought out by investment conglomerates, have lost the desire to make a good firearm. Their only desire is to make money. Great for investors on the short term, but if you're actually a consumer, it sucks. I've never known what Colt's problem is. Price? Labor? Small production/high cost? I don't really follow them. And I have no idea how Savage stays in business - their stuff is so boring and cheap-ish (I have 2 of them.) They must have good management.
@283blood4 жыл бұрын
@@robertthurman3743 Colt's problem was you live by the 1911 and M16, you die by them. Lack of innovation, and not seeing where the future was going killed them. Then, like Remington, investors drained them for the money. Savage may not be exciting to look at, but they are stupid accurate out of the box. Savage spends their money on barrel to action fitment time and engineering, and triggers, because that's what counts. I'll take ugly accurate over pretty any day. I've got an older $298 110 in .223 that shoots 3/4 minute of angle all day, as well as others just as good. Butt ugly, flexy, cheap black plastic stock, but you can always replace that if you want. That's how they've done so well. People in America bad talked Eastern European gun manufacturers for years, not realizing many of them had been in the gun industry since before the US was a country. Many of them innovated methods, and mechanisms we take for granted today. CZ in particular, has always produced really well made, and often innovative firearms. Smart shooters knew what a CZ 75 was well before the wonder nine craze started in this country. I hope they can turn Colt around as a brand name, even if it will never really be the same again. I'm fortunate in having bought alot of early colt revolvers over the years, and 1911's, both for the shooting experience, and now, it ain't hurting my pocketbook either, if I decided to sell them. As a country, we have priced are self out of the market of many manufactured goods. It's not that US manufacturers don't know how to make quality goods, we just can't price them competitively for Joe working guy, and that's been are downfall.
