For those who are rarely home a desktop may see little use whereas the laptop would. It's certainly cheaper than a gaming laptop and in some cases better for the games. You can obviously play the games on windows via ultimate, but unless you got the hardware they won't run great where as they were designed for the Xbox hardware, so will run without issue.

In Europe we have a similar screen from G-Story but larger screen (12.5''),HDR(although haven't made it work),and AMD FreeSync (haven't tested it yet) at about 230£. It's similar to connect like xScreen.

What hols it back is its lacking versatily. Yes you can use it when traveling, but depending on where you go you might be in a hotel that already has a television so the only thing you'd need to bring with your xbox is a Hdmi cable (thats there anyways most likely). You can buy this for your xbox, but you can aso just buy a regular nice monitor, which you can then use not only for your console, but pc, laptop, switch, anything.

The point of the screen is to enable you to use it where you might not have access to a TV or if you go to a hotel and the TV is mounted making it difficult to plug in the hdmi cable. It's not like a laptop or a handheld you can use anywhere
