For those who are rarely home a desktop may see little use whereas the laptop would. Would be nice to be able to upgrade parts instead of forkin over anywhere between 1500-2500 because someone using just for business won't be spending that but someone who games(on laptop only) would.

I've got one of these, had it since February. It's become one of my most used accessories. It isn't truly portable but it also feels like real console gaming when it's setup. Absolutely get the carry case if you're getting one, it's mandatory...

It's certainly cheaper than a gaming laptop and in some cases better for the games. You can obviously play the games on windows via ultimate, but unless you got the hardware they won't run great where as they were designed for the Xbox hardware, so will run without issue.

In Europe we have a similar screen from G-Story but larger screen (12.5''),HDR(although haven't made it work),and AMD FreeSync (haven't tested it yet) at about 230£. It's similar to connect like xScreen.

Cool idea in and on itself, but the price point is just way too steep. With the cost of the console and the screen getting a bit too close to the price of Series X. Would be a really cool accessory if it was closer to 100$ than 250$. With that 250$ price you can get proper gaming screen with higher resolution and VRR which makes this a bad deal 😕

What hols it back is its lacking versatily. Yes you can use it when traveling, but depending on where you go you might be in a hotel that already has a television so the only thing you'd need to bring with your xbox is a Hdmi cable (thats there anyways most likely). You can buy this for your xbox, but you can aso just buy a regular nice monitor, which you can then use not only for your console, but pc, laptop, switch, anything.

When the screen is that small 8K would be a waste of money lol. It doesn't scale with size. Like a 2K 27inch screen and a 2K 60in screen would have the same amount of pixels so the 27in would look better. You would not notice "8K" on that small of a screen

I'm confused. If it still requires a power supply what's the point of this ? The whole point of a mobile console is that it has it's own battery supply. You're just better off taking the console as is with a HDMI cable and plugging it into the TV at any hotel you're staying in if you wanted to play on your console that badly

Is this really a question? 🤣. The Xbox has never been able to run on a battery hence why it has a power cable. In fact all these type of consoles don't hence why they have the handheld devices. The point of the screen is to enable you to use it where you might not have access to a TV or if you go to a hotel and the TV is mounted making it difficult to plug in the hdmi cable. It's not like a laptop or a handheld you can use anywhere
