I'm watching your acceleration trend and it seems this car has a shit ton of low-end torque and very little turbo lag which is why exiting in a higher gear works so well. Another reason these other drivers seem to be rocketing up behind you so often is because you're revving the gears out way too long. The acceleration rate drops off hugely as the tachometer begins to fill and it seems that you need to start upshifting at around the time the counter turns blue, well before it starts flashing. You're revving well past the meat of the powerband.
@FunkyBeatRadio2 жыл бұрын
Very true. Looked at the Torque band and that what it says. No revving till the end.

@@1181darkfire It's anecdotal but I've been watching years worth of his videos and he does love revving the hell out of the cars before shifting. At the very least he seems to favor high RPM cars.
@MB7_72 жыл бұрын
I'm very late but this car benefits a ton from flat foot shifting, if you have a clutch with a stick shift setup you can hold the gas down and just push in the clutch to shift. Takes a little getting used to with the timing but the car's designed for it. You basically keep all of your boost built up into the next gear and it's a massive gain on the straights vs shifting normally

I found the penalties extremely harsh on this race. I took the inside line through the corner onto the back hill, someone else who ran wide came back and bumped into me, to the detriment of no one, and I got a 4 second penalty for it. Re-ran the race, got jostled to the back of the pack on a scrunched up first two corners, and got a 6 second penalty on top.
