@@zildog While it is a mistake to speed under yellow, I believe it was raining during the race. I wasn't in the car but, I do race and know that there are alot of things going on inside the car. These are circumstances are not excuses, and I think that the penalty was too severe. I believe it was handled just as bad as the rest of the race. (Adding) I just wonder what happens now for Steve?

The sad part about this race is I couldn't afford tickets. When the news was released that Super GT was racing at the Daytona Road Course they doubled and tripled the ticket prices. Price gouging is supposed to be illegal. My only hope was that you recorded this race and posted it on KZbin for all us poor people to watch. That was a nice win, you saved and timed the pass perfectly.

Absolutely love MX5, some of the best racing out there. Talked with guys when they run at Road America, teams setting up drafting partners for the long straights. Love the McQueen and great tips in the video. You do draw a crowd at Daytona.

I'm pretty sure that is in fact a corner in the midfield you were talking about. It's not a straight, because the road curves and you have to turn the wheel to stay on it.

All the Mazda spec races tend to be Race A... we did have the launch week Road Atlanta and maybe one other race, but like GTWS most people don't care when it gets put into B or C and the GTWS drivers don't show up for the slower car races so PD seem to not use them more often :(

It's ironic that daily race a doesn't really populate as much with world-class drivers considering it's the most technical and challenging racing offered on the game.. gr3 and gr4 models are like arcade compared to ACC and iracing. In my opinion the only thing Gran Turismo 7 is good for is street cars and miatas. And everybody who plays Gran Turismo refuses to race street cars and miatas because it's much more difficult and technical to be fast in those than it is in GR3 or GR4. With that being said, I would be willing to wager that the fast cars in the daily a races will always be of a higher caliber than the fast cars and b&c races. They are just simply more difficult and more technical to drive fast consistently. That's why everyone avoids driving them..

I built a pc because it is cheaper than buying a ps5 ⚖️ with better performance.. but gt7 (in my opinion) is the BEST console racing game/sim.. its the perfect blend of (somewhat) realism and arcade fun. The online side of the game is the best experience I've had of any title in that dept..

About second race was a bad strategy , if I were u I had kept the second place almost to the end and at the final “straight” do the same where slipstream should have worked (same strategy used by Alonso to checo in f1 last year), also you were lucky enough cause 2nd and 3rd were battling each other if they weren’t battling could have gone worse .

Horseshoe is International Horseshoe the corner that is indeed a corner, is West Horseshoe. They're connected by turn 4, the Dog Leg. 1 and 6 are In and Out. As they enter and exit the infield. 2 is the only corner with no name

I have to say it. I really have to giggle when I hear some of the you tube personalities in this game say that slip is not a thing that affects racing in general. NASCAR has been proving for years, on the big ovals, that slip is a very deciding factor and trains are faster than a car on it's own every day of the year.

The first horseshoe is called the international horseshoe and you can see all the international flags. 2nd horseshoe is called the West horseshoe. Pretty basic. And the bus stop is now called the Le Mans Chicane for so-called "synergy".

I feel if you're leading Daytona on the final lap with 2nd in slip stream range the best solution is to park the car on all the busstop apex's to allow as many other drivers to catch up and turn the last sprint into chaos lol
