XT500 Yamaha Build Part 1. Paul gives us an update on his masterful nuts and bolts process.

STOP THE PRESSES! Paul won the Classic and Overall prize at the Thumper concours on the first weekend of September 2024.
Paul has a passion. in his words I don't do patina! But he does build the best xt500 that I know of. His 'no excuses' and no holds barred approach is one we can all learn from.
He builds one approximately every 3 months. His wife restricts his collection so he has to sell one every 3 or 4 months. He also does commission builds.
This bike is targeted at the Thousand Bike Show in 2024. 1000 Bike Show is the most prestigious classic bike show in South Africa. Run by the Classic Bike Club (CMC) based in Joburg.
This year they gonna host a Thumper class Concours . My money is on Paul taking one of the prestigious trophies home.
