I've been watching your videos a lot recently... made me sell my bike today and tomorrow I am going to buy my first xt660r to spice up my motovlog. Keep up the good work!

How is the t7 compared to the xt 660 R?

Well..Ive only ridden it once. It for sure is better at most aspects but also bad in some. Too much power for snotty terrain. It revs up fast and looses traction fast. So it must have better offroad tires compared to XT low grunt. XT is much easier to ride in technical terrain because low end power. T7 has less vibration, better suspension out of the box. You can get XT suspenion better but Im not going to do that. I see no point in it. I find it fast enough for my riding style and going faster = much more chance to crash and brake your bike and yourself. Im riding 50-70km/h in the woods. If its bumpy then the suspension is bad, it can't take multiple hits without packing down. I find the rear shock as the culprit. Its too bad and with luggage it bottoms out. ~400-700€ investment will make it really great. Mines stock except for rear spring that I changed for progressive(hyperpro). T7 has more power. If you do alot of tarmac riding and driving 120-130km/h stretches then T7 is better. 2 person riding= t7 better. But XT costs about 3k while tenere is 9-12k€. I do not find T7 so much better for me to waste extra 6k €.

Thanks mate for the answer. I also didn't have the chance yet to drive a T7, however I once gave my xt 660 R to a friend who owns a T7. He tried out it in dirt and liked it a lot. I have modified quite a lot of stuff. Suspension wise, I use ohlins springs in front and 15w oil and preload adjustment. In the rear I have fitted a YSS shock. It transforms the bike.
