No one before him ran into the forward pocket to score goals. He was a footy revolutionary, He changed the game forever by scoring goals from angles which hadn't been done before. My favourite player of all time. I saw him from the start to the end.

Interesting to note not only are there special goals of rare talent from a range of angles and distances but a vast majority went through the middle of the goals. Precision at its best.

Memorable video! Fittingly concluding with his 548th and 549th goals in 1993 at Vic Park, when he was already significantly injured and should have been off the ground. And how good a soccer player would he have been? Had every attribute to have been an international superstar … imagine Dakes taking penalty kicks and lining up free kicks outside the box.

Oh glory days!!!! And had a knee reco early on (yep.... imagine getting a reco back in 79/80) as well as all those games in the 80s missed through the stress fractures in his feet. The best Pie I've seen play the game in my 56 years......by a country my mile. (No..... Buckley doesn't even get close.....so dont bother saying otherwise)
