so in Japanese, KitKat sounds like “kitto katsu”, which means “you are sure to succeed” or more literally translated as “surely win” the lyrical genius you are jung Hoseok. “take everything like kitkat” he means that whatever he tries to do, he knows he’s going to succeed.

His debut is on July 15. This was a pre release, the album will be insane. This is Jhope, this is his official debut (the other singles, mixtapes like airplane and daydream, etc were just him experimenting with sounds till he finally found the sound he likes, which is Old hip hop beat with rock and for me that's amazing)

If this second chapter is going to be like this, it's good that it has arrived, this new maturation process is blowing my mind. IVE BEEN GOING ABSOLUTELY INSANE SINCE THIS MUSIC VIDEO RELEASED IM NORMALLY A VERY CALM AND QUIET PERSON BUT THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED THIS LAST NIGHT I WAS BASICALLY SCREAMING AND MANIACALLY LAUGHING BC OF HOW OVERWHELMED I WAS 😭😭😭 this is a prerelease for his album 'jack in the box' and he's been working on this album since 2018 !!! there isn't a physical copy but you can order it on weverse to get photocards and a qr code to download the album!!! aside from me losing my absolute mind over the music video bc of how FINE HE IS, i'm absolutely OBSESSED with the garage band sound he went with for this song 😭😭😭 imo he's the perfect member to do this kind of music and it just makes me so excited for the whole album bc aside from a lot of the kmusic i listen to, this is the type of "underground band" music i listen to daily 😭 also i'm pretty sure he will release a music video for the title track when the album drops and i'm hoping the mv will be more horror and clown themed compared to this bc of the concept photos he's been dropping on twitter/instagram 😭😭😭😭

I'm so proud of Hobi and didn't expect this at all. I'm loving the beat of this song and I love the drums and guitars and this side of our sunshine is wrecking me badly. This is a different side of hobi I thought I'd never see also I love the MV aswell and I love how his voice sounds as well as how rocky this sounds and I'm also loving this néw look on him aswell and I love how he raps. Basically words can't explain how I'm feeling right now about this song besides being bias wrecked. Hobi has set the bar so damn high for me now, Bangtan chapter 2 is already killing me now.

Holy shit....J-hope surprised everyone and revolutionized the k-pop industry, in a few words he showed how eclectic and professional he is, now more than ever, because he can show what he knows how to do without being tied to restrictions of a contract and that is why he is thirsty for music in the universal sense, and that prizes are not worth more than doing what you love and being able to breathe and shout that "The best is yet to come". Many will not understand what to be between the lines because they are melodic fans and just expect luxurious and cuddly mvs, but he is not just that, he and the others are more than BTS members, they are human beings with different views and tastes refined and therefore cannot be stuck to a single rhythm, they are pop, rock'jezz, rapper, reeg, funk, r&b and etc..., that is, THE COMPLETE PACKAGE. . CONGRATULATIONS J-HOPE, what an epic and powerful song, the dark exists in all of us, and it's the best version of ourselves. SCREAM, BREATHE, FOR THE SKY IS THE LIMIT. I LOVED THE REVOLUTIONARY SURPRISE IN EVERYONE, let the other members come. Thank you for this work of art. Kisses from Brazil. 💗👏👏👏😍.

Honestly I’ve been so hype for j-hope and I love him breaking the normal “j-hope” the one that’s always bright and happy and that he expresses his meaning saying that not being able to rap or to make music is the same as not breathing like you said and they don’t need to be bright or overly-exaggerated he made his point clear with his lyricism.

I'm commenting again, because I have to 😂 I just wish he would've gone more hardcore on the rock part. I don't know how to explain, but the music sounded like it's holding itself back 😂 sounded like it was polished for a movie, like it wasn't real guitar playing... I wanted a pure, rock sound like Rage against the machine type. That's my biggest critique. I love J-hope to death, he's my bias, so don't come at me y'all 😂 but I can be objective about it. He still rocks and I love this vibe and the switch he did from his past album being all bubbly and now darker. I love when artists explore different genre like that. I'm all here for it! 💚💜
@dineongoepe78572 жыл бұрын
"the music sounded like it's holding itself back"....that's like the whole point. That's the theme of the album, "Jack In The Box". He is inside a box...most of his desires, wants, wishes and emotions are all bottled up and held back by his idol image and he is trying to break out.

I agree with you but I have been listening to it while driving, the further back part is transporting! I'm not sure how to describe it, its like driving passed a place playing More but it's with you in the car constantly. It's a bit "trancey" and chill. BTS are true legends because they’re so vocal about their passion for music and how it’s an integral part of their lives. They’re not doing this for money or fame, they’re doing it because, like Jungkook’s motto, for them “living without passion is like being dead”. This is reflected in Black Swan, which is about their fear of losing their passion for music and how it would be like their “first death”. They’re such geniuses aaaaahhhh

It’s almost like you know but refuse to admit beciase you want to like someone else better. But I-hope wrote MORE and Arson explaining how this is what he wants to do . Has always been and now he can . The rap line was promised from beginning that KPOP would not get in way of their rap careers. See rm and Suga struggled and so many said they never saw them under ground so that was a big deal a big conflict but no one ever denied they saw jhope . He danced to rap so of course he rapped but his voice is so amazing he wanted to sing . Rap all of it. Why he left the group before they debut so many times beciase he had an opportunity . The others didn’t . Especially Suga no one wanted his stuff and he was going broke handing out tapes and no one paying for them. Jhope easily established . Why BTS is so huge . Yes they all are very special obviously . But they knew Jhope was key . He is apart of the choreograph team he taught them the moves too and he coached them on not only how to hit the moves but from how to sit infront of of interview making expressions in front of camera . But watching Jhope he is totally hip hop from beginning not something. He fee I to omg . He was only one to be in a song and video of KPOP star Jo Keon. Jhope wrote his own rap line as well . Featured in the song animal. Not Suga , not rm. so take what army says with a grain of salt because those army love to hate on j-hope and the ones that say he is their bias aren’t any different . Once a girl on fb said she heard j-hope spoke the way he did because he was raided by women . OMFG . j-hope is old school authentic rap . That is how they rap you …..!!!!!!!!!! They do t tell the truth about his huge impact in BTS . They all know that having Jhope a professional in all aspects would make them the best. Watch j-hopes lollapalooza show, listen to blue side , Jhope writes , produces , composes etc etc etc. Why they are so great they have the best rap line EVER. Was it more reaction when you said you would listen to it. Omfg why wouldn’t you it is rap/ rock exactly how old school authentic rap was . A mixture of everything. Also how do you not know who dj Steve is !!!!

My favorite part of this song production wise is the chorus but I not really a fan of the vocals during it. I’m a Stay and Army myself, I don’t wanna be rude, but why do some reactors bring Skids in BTS related videos? Jhope and BTS are in this industry before Skids. I definitely think you're looking too deep into it. Stray Kids is another idol group, with a huge influence within the industry. Its to be expected that they'd be used as a point of comparison if someone hears something similar. It's not about who was first. Music is music.
