Hookll Extra 300 H Unboxing and Assembly

G'day All, This is the first video I have made and posted in a long time. Hopefully a few more to come.
This is the Hookll Extra 300 H purchased from Banggood in the Black Friday Sales. Local (Australian) stock, so the delivery was very quick!

Cheers Jay, it has been a long while. I have still been flying quite a bit , but just lost the enthusiasm for making content and have been prioritising other things. But, we'll see if I can get back into the swing of things again.

On these build together tails I like to do ca hinges on both control surfaces before assembly because having to do the elevator after a tail separates would be a huge pain.

Did you fly it at the instruction recommended 80mm cg? For mine to balance there I feel like it needs a lead brick in the nose. If balances perfectly on the spar with the PNP electronics and a 4s 2200 but if it really needs to balance at 80mm I feel like it will be too heavy to fly.

G'day Jonathan, Yeah it is probably more like 85-90mm. Very close to the spar. But I fly it in stock form with a 4s 2200 60c which weight 252g. I do find it hard to land smoothly, so would be interested to try a little weight in the nose to bring the CG forward a little more.

Does it come with everything like transmitter battery and charger? Or what does the kit not come with?

No, it is a PNF (Plug and Fly) you need to use your own radio transmitter and install your own receiver and batteries. If you don't have these things already, I would suggest this is NOT a good plane for you to start in the hobby.

Yeah a little mucking about with the tail, but that's it really. Maybe not the most plug and play I've had, but nowhere near the hardest. Nice flying sport plane too

I just got one and the fuselage is damaged, the manufacturer refuses to honor any quality of their product. They will not ship any parts to replace damaged parts from their factory so if it arrives damaged you're stuck with it

Why it requires 300 grams of lead to balance CG? Poor design

I have not added extra weight in the front. Although it has taken a little time to get used to the flight characteristics of this 3d/sport plane.
