Xymox Hybrid snare finally came!

* I am not affiliated with Xymox in any type of way. I was a customer who customized and purchased this product with my own money a couple months back. I understood the gamble I was taking because there’s tons of videos on KZbin about Xymox and how they operate as a company. I was pretty surprised how fast I received my pad. Waited about 2 months (did purchase the extra fast production option) no emails or any notification informing me my package is on its way. Just showed up, unannounced. I think with Xymox recent move from Ca to Wa, they didn’t have a good system of keeping track of orders they haven’t fulfilled yet and fulfills most recents order… obviously not the way to do it because you can’t just sweep those orders under the rug and forget they exist.

Ya, reaching out to this company is harder than getting a statement from the White House. Good product, bad company to make ‘em. I think they simply just can’t keep up with the demand and they are playing catch up while also doing newest order.

Xymox is the absolute worst company to grace this earth. 5 years ago I ordered a drum pad that took 7 months to be delivered, and every request for an update was met with rude unprofessional customer service.

I honsetly just messed with the batter and reso side until I liked the way it sounded. Xymox has a disclaimer about how much you should tighten each side but I kinda disregard that and went by trusted ears.

Hey SnareMan! Thanks for stopping by! Shockingly it's all still in one piece haha, I did seem to see some hairline fractures/splits on the underside of the tension rods but I wasn't sure if that's the way it was casted since my color combo is a light finish.

This freestyle was a one take, live time , so im glad you really liked it! I had just gotten my pad that day and wanted to jam on it and I thought might as well mic it up and record it just incase haha

Wished Xymox would sell their company to Offworld Percussion. Then you would have a great product with great customer service. I have a Xymox but did not order it from the company. That's really the only way to go if you don't want to experience the long wait time. Your story is not typical. I'm not sure how they stay in business.

They have gotten a lot better recently. I have ordered 4 different products in the past 6 months and they have all arrived within 2 weeks. They barely respond to emails though.

if you were trying to do a French grip with your right hand good job but if not then make sure you turn your hand so your palm faces down. but other than that is was a great solo

Man that’s so messed up I ordered 2 hybrids just in case they lagged on the first one I thought if I bought two a week apart I’d have a good chance of receiving one but 3 years later and nothing just took my money fucking assholes
