Sick man! This is one of my favorite solos of all time. That was the greatest time period for music late 80's early 90's. So many shredders... the complete opposite of today. How about the He-Man Woman Hater string skipping arpeggio tapping solo next hahaha!

@@PDXguitarfreak I really like the how punchy the main riff is and the way it's played with fingers after the solo with a less gain. Of course the solo not only is the icing on the cake and but also a cherry on top. Virtuoso playing all the way.

It would be nice, seeing that you have extensive experience with similar guitars that have: Floyd Rose Tremolo, stainless steel frets, 24 frets, humbucer pickups, that a review of the Fender American Ultra Luxe with the Floyd and humbuckers would have great appeal on youtube. I am not saying you could return it to GC after the review but....
@PDXguitarfreak3 жыл бұрын
I came VERY CLOSE to getting one of those... but ended up with a different Fender model. Will be making a debut in a few weeks :)
@zakklee25563 жыл бұрын
@@PDXguitarfreak congratulations on the new Guitar. I also got a recent Guitar as a backup. Schecter c7 Silver Mountain FR-S. Looking forward to your review of the Fender. Although I don't plan on getting any fenders. Still using 7 guage strings.
@zakklee25563 жыл бұрын
Note : I have devised a new technique for the right hand. I call it" clapping with one hand." If one puts the middle, ring and pinky finger tips directly under the bridge humbucker pickup. So that the tips rest on both the guitar body and the pickup ( where the body and the lower edge of the bridge pickup meet, one can pinch/ (flex) /( close) the three fingers toward the palm , so that the pick will strum or pick down the strings. Vise versa one can extend the 3 fingers so that the strum will be upwards or the pick will be upwards.this allows perfect control of the pick or strum due to the reverse nature of technique. Sort of like a negative feedback loop in an amplifier, the pick or strum never overshoots.
@hoosierdaddy23082 жыл бұрын
Very cool man. I love that song. Great tone .. May I ask what you're using as far as amp and pedals, or modeller it whatever you're using? Very cool.

So I was thinking about it today and I try to join any patreon or subscription systems for youtubers who I appreciate and benefit from and I've learned a load of solos from you. Have you ever considered something like patreon because I'd like to donate something but I don't have a PayPal account anymore (got hacked awhile back and decided to just delete all of my accounts I didn't use on a regular basis)

I feel like there is a distinct difference between rock released in '87 and prior and the music that was released in '88 and after. I think in '88 there was just an explosion of bands coming out and bands like XYZ got lost in the shuffle, even though Don Dokken produced their first record. I think the post '87 bands were a lot more polished coming out of the gate and XYZ was definitely very polished.
