I know this is off topic but you have to check out the college bracket tournament, there is a young man named Louis Monetti from UNC Charlotte that is fishing old school and owning it, he was speaking about it and I swear he was channeling you!!, he’s even using the old school marker buoys to line up his casts, an old Ranger and none of the forward facing crap either, he’s doing just the way he should be!!

My first go to bait was a tube I would cast it under a bridge that had some current and I caught so many small mouth and largemouth that made me fall in love with fishing

Lake Erie, off Point Pelee , probably 20 feet of visibility. Technique slays the Small Mouth. We ran a couple test one day; 6 lb vs 8 lb, 6 probably got 2 to 1 bites. Green pumpkin red flake vs green pumpkin gold flake. red flake got bit 3 or 4 to 1. Did well at Cumberland hitting flatter points same technique, maybe 30 degree-ish, same technique. You know pretty quick if the fish are there and biting. Fun way to fish and cover water. I'm about 10 hours east of you, something in the air knocked me down yesterday, feel your pain. Flonase works pretty good but man it taste ... unpleasant :) Looking forward to your practice day and tournament reports. Best of luck.
