Another determining factor on the effectiveness of lay downs is sunlight. The brighter the day, the closer to the lay downs they will be. Them bass are just like me, they enjoy a good shade tree.

That was so informative and indepth and in a short time. I would love that to be a 1 hour seminar, a shallow water cover or laydown seminar.

Thanks Randy. Actually I just caught a 5 pound 5 ounce bass today on a lay down from the bank with a jig. I'm in northwest Missouri and it was 51 degrees and windy today.

Great to see you out on the water. Knowing that you mostly use your phone you should look into a lapel mic that will work with your phone. The Purple Panda is an excellent one. Your audio going up and down should instantly go away. Tight lines Randy...keep up the good work.

I agree with most of your videos but I'll have to part company with you on this one. The most important thing to remember here is to fish the cover from the from the back forward thru the limbs so your bait doesn't hang up in the limbs.
@charlessmith4242
@charlessmith4242 2 жыл бұрын
* It's also easier to pull a big fish out with the limbs rather than trying to drag it out against them.

Randy has made it clear he is not “god-loving.” He’s a great guy by human standards, but we will be judged by a much higher standard. I’ll watch Richard Gene just for his personality, even when his topic isn’t useful to me. He does acknowledge God. He’s such a hoot!

Nothing ruins a good looking piece of cover for me faster than getting hung up. Lure selection and rigging for working this laydown would help a lot of fishermen I think. Does anyone lay down a hung rod and pick up another one? I’ve gotten into some major messes trying this, especially in wind. I feel like a complete incompetent some days.
