No need to apologize for being late, I know the nice people you are you want to apologize but don't worry about it. I'm sure all of us in the Cog squad are just happy to see you anytime we see you. About french fries, they can be addicting so I stay far away from them. I used to love McDonalds fries and would stop almost every day after work and of course you can't just get fries you have to get a burger also. I don't eat fast foods now since I've gotten older, probably had fries two or three times in 20 years. If I ate fries like I did when I was younger I wouldn't be able to fit through the arches!

Don’t worry about being a day late, we won’t tell Peaches or Nugget! My grandmother made what I called tomato pie, it was sweet and so good the bread was cut up into smallish squares and buttered. My grandmother used her canned tomatoes, pouring off all the juice and cooked the tomatoes with sugar and a little salt then spread the toasted buttered bread squares over the top of the tomatoes and baked in the oven until the they were toasted, crunchy and slightly brown. Oh, it was sooooo good! The potato casserole with the cream of chicken soup is a recipe used by Cracker Barrel. Since you could taste the cream of chicken soup, they put too much in it. If you make it at home, you can use cream of anything else you like! I live in Tennessee and we call them Cows!

Just had another thought. Have you guys heard of a 'cow brush'? I watched a video of an installation and the cows loved it. It did need a big hole, concrete and steel to anchor it. Seemed worth the effort. Maybe, when it comes time to building the hay/bovine shelter in the long pasture, you could add a cow brush? Since Nugget is rubbing his neck feathers off on the wire fence, perhaps he could do with an emu scratching pole as well. Silly bird.

Because flat iron steak comes from the chuck region, it's not a super expensive steak. Despite that, it has the quality of a very expensive cut of meat.

Is it the same as chuck steak ya wonder? I see them in groceries at times, and starting to see flat iron, but no tri-tip like west coast…it’s similar to something I can’t remember. But chuck roast is the best for pot roast!. I’m going to smoke one next time brother fills the gas grill bottle…unless he’ll stand guard over the charcoal smoker. He doesn’t have to cook until done just get the smoke in it for an hour-two, and I can put it in the oven with carrots/potatoes/onion. Otherwise it may taste like brisket if left in the smoker.

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON THE OWL. Here in Kentucky they are called cows, we say “Ya’ll”, even have that written on a water tower in Florence, Ky.
