Hi there! Mr.Twisted Helix. You said that the pronunciation of "th" is a similar "D", right? So, for we the Japanese, "Can I carry this on board?" sounds like "Can I carried some boy?". And, "Job interview" sounds "Jobin' tar view". We can understand "carried" & "some boy" are grammatically wrong, however, it sounds like that. Why don't natives pronounce words separately for each "␣(space)"?
この番組は初めて見ました。 このコーナー、おもしろいですね。 最初のお題の"Can I carry this on board?"が聞き取れませんでした。 this と on とboardがつながって1つの単語に思えて、 "ディソンボードって何だ?"と考えてしまいました。 スピードが速いと聞き取りが難しいです。
日本人のhearingの苦手をネタにした伝言ゲームですね。日本人は単語を一つづつ聞こうとするから Can I carry this on board? のthis onの部分、ネイティブは単語最後が子音で次の単語の頭が母音の場合繋げて発音しますよね。これが日本人にはディッサンに聞こえるのです。だから this on boardがデッサンボードと勘違いしたのですww Twisted Helixさんは、日本人のhearingをどのように強化すれば良いと思いますか?
