Hi, I doubt that anybody will read this or understand it since everybody in this comment section speaks Japanese, lol. But I decided to get this message out there regardless of who sees it. I first discovered this music video around a week or so after it came out. When I first heard it, I saw that the visuals were just a masterpiece. Everything about this video just made me feel better, and it was just amazing to look at in general. At the time I was going through a lot and whenever I listened to your music it made me feel a type of way. Ever since that day, I have listened to your music more and more throughout the years and they never fail to surprise me. I listened over and over and over again and each time they made me feel better about myself. I know it's weird since I can't really understand anything about the music but the visuals just did something. I guess maybe in a way I could relate to the visuals of the songs. I think these could have translated to the lyrics. I have been through a lot in life since then and I always come back to your videos and songs whenever I feel down. In real life im really quiet and I never felt accepted. I always found comfort in your music. And I have come to learn a lot in life and grow as a person. Maybe because of your music, or maybe because of the harshness of reality. But I know that your music has always done something for me in life and I will never forget it. Many many days pass and many years have come since that day. I have gone through too much to remember and I sometimes can't even remember who I was that day. I don't know how I could put this but I guess this message was to say thank you. I feel as if there is an irreplaceable void in my soul. In real life, I always hide how I feel and to be honest I think everybody I know just thinks of me as either a scary "gangster" or a quiet kid who never talks to people, or just generally dislikes me. I always hated how people thought of me and I just wanted to disappear and fade away out of people's memories. But at the same time I know deep down I hide my true personality and just want to put a front up for people. And when I found your music it all seemed to fade away. As if I was somebody else I guess, I don't really understand it myself but in a way it made me feel like somebody was talking directly to my heart and I guess it acted as some sort of drug to shade out my thoughts of how other people thought of me. It felt so amazing. Honestly, I could cry just thinking about it. Your music saved my life in a way. However, I am still just a kid. I don't know if it's normal to feel this way and I don't know what life has in store for me in the future. But no matter what I do in life, whether I achieve something great or fail horribly, I can only think I shouldn't have done it, or I don't deserve it. I have never told a single person in my life the absolutely horrible things I have done to others in life and the sadness I feel deep down in my heart. I have always felt alone and I am scared of so many things in life that I always feel overwhelmed. I have no clue what could possibly happen to me in the future or what it holds for me but in a way, your music provides a safe space for me. A place I can just take a break from the hardships of life and reflect on the past and future. I still have a long way to go I guess, I hope my life can take a turn. I feel hungry all the time, I wake up hoping I have something to eat, my parents are investing our life savings into a business which could save our lives in hopes of getting out of this dark mess we're in. And I can only hope my life will be better soon. Thank you Eve for saving my life. Without you, God knows what would have happened that night. PSA: Jesus is our lord and saviour! Amen!

“i fell in love in a world that no one knows of, going towards the story of that day i wished for”, i think it resumes a recurring topic of his lyrics. he’s often talked about locking himself up in his own “space”, either for avoiding not to get hurt in the real world or because he struggles to fully live life and be present in the moment (this song is literally about living life as if dreaming). tho he’s unable to experiment strong emotions in the real world, his dream gives him what he’s lacking (therefore falling in love in/with a world unknown to others). either way he always shows hope for the future, therefore waiting for the day he’ll finally be able to live fully even outside of his dream - a dream he created to compensate all the things he’s missing. i recall another song of his going “the best day is waiting for me” and many other verses along these lines. and in this video too, it’s clear that living in a dream is also comforting cause it allows him to be the protagonist of his own world, which he’s unable to traspose in the real one. this is another recurring topic of his lyrics (ambivalent: “when i was a kid i used to picture myself as the protagonist of this world; i started to get embarrassed so i turned my eyes away”, but he still fulfills his wish in his dreamlike-world). aaa i’m sorry this sounds like a mess i just really love his songs and the way they still intertwine with each other even after all these years.

This is how I interpret the song : Fall in love with the world inside his head (dream) & knowing that it isn’t real. Always go to his world as a coping mechanism. Sometimes can’t even tell what’s the reality anymore. So he just keep his head and live this life apathetically, contemplating whether he should give up or not (whether it is giving up his dream or his life). Or maybe that’s just what I feel when I listen to this song Edit: Thanks for all of the theories that you guys give. I love seeing all different theories about this mv. Also, when things get hard it’s easy to fall into maladaptive state. And I’m glad I’m not the only one that feeling like that. Eve’s song somehow brought us together :)

@@Seisei16 my thoughts 3:14 captivated by this mirage, you are to the extent of being dazzling - i interpret this as him portraying himself as a hero in his imaginary world. maybe its tying back to the earlier lines seemingly dazzling people, even though its not real hes telling himself hes just as good. the last line going towards the story of that day i wished for - this is a bit of a stretch but maybe he lost someone close to him and in his world hes telling a story where they had a different ending? since there was also a flash of who im assuming is that person that he lost. or something along those lines edit: 1:24 lets vow to reunite, i dont want to look at just me in this moment - you can see someone in the meadow, presumably the same one mentioned in the last line. not sure what the i dont want to part means though. might be he doesnt want to be alone in his imaginary world edit 2: 1:31 ive fallen in love, if i dye it in lightheartedness - again, something mightve happened on that day to the person in the meadow and in his imagination hes recreating a better version of it edit 3: there seems to be 2 or 3 characters in the mv - the red haired boy, the white haired one and the dancer. at 2:44 you can see for a split second the white haired boy turns into the dancer. seeing as the red haired boy covers the white haired boy’s eyes, which might be him “going into” his imaginary world, the red haired boy is probably him in that world, and the white haired is him in real life. i have no idea what the dancer has to do with this.
