As terrifying as that monologue of Henry Creel is, I can't help but laugh a bit because he is talking about his ideology and views on the world to a small child who probably doesn't understand a lot of complicated words he's saying

Also _as_ a young adult, who at most experienced _middle school_ before deciding to go Cat Killer and making himself an orphan. Like, the only way he could have had a more edgy childhood would be if he carried a little back book around and quoted poetry from it. … Edgy might be the wrong word, but I hope I got my point across.

The Vecna twist is amazing. Even if you got part of it (Vecna is One, Henry or the orderly, or the orderly is One, or Henry), there would still be a part of it that still shocks you. After this episode we all had to wait 5 weeks for the last 2. It was torture.

I don't know where they're pulling that whole "whatever contract he signed with the parents" story from. They showed how he got Eleven. He took her mom, induced labor, drugged her to make her forget the birth, then told her she'd miscarried.

Interesting thing I just caught after countless times of rewatching this show. This season with them showing us the massacre having us think it was El, but simultaneously reminding us of El’s pet squirrel. I take that as she killed one when she had to, but befriended one when she had the chance. When you said she wouldn’t hurt a fly it clicked, amazing

You guys make a great point with Vecna and his reasoning. He makes sense as to why he starts doing what he’s doing and to some vulnerable people, he can get to them and manipulate. But others will see through it and realize his path is not correct.

Thug Nancy finally getting respect lol. I think it helps that she has more fun people to bounce off of this season. Usually she's stuck with annoying Jonathan drama that kinda holds her character back IMO. Also the Creel massacre is just an inherently more interesting mystery for her to latch onto, which can better showcase her positive qualities, like team leadership.

This is no hint, or spoiler, just a general question that I think everyone has... I don't think that they have explained her father. We do know who her mother is (Terry Ives), but her father remains a mystery. Is it Dr Brenner? Is it Vecna? Or is it someone entirely different? Who knows.

I think he has to be the biological father of some, or even most of the kids, through artificial insemination. If the scientists were trying to recreate him, why wouldn't they try the most obvious way? I also don't think he consented to it. He made his views on reproduction clear in his monologue. So they either took his sperm without him knowing, or they actively sexually abused him. My theory is that he's actually the father of all of the kids *_except_* 008 and 011, which is why he taught them to use negative emotions, let them live, and helped them escape. He saw the others as faded, lesser copies of himself, which he didn't want to exist.

Regarding the Hop speech about rejecting your father and your comment about an “evolutionary advantage” to preparing to move on, apparently a recent study found that adolescent boys’ brains stop responding to the sound of their mothers’ voices the same way, instead reacting more to the sound of “new voices.” So there may be something to that.

I don’t like how the show is trying to keep Steve Nancy and johnathan as a love triangle it’s tiring now I personally think that they all need to be single and get themselves together and I also feel like Nancy likes whoever gives her the attention she wants when she wants it cause the same thing that’s happening with Steve is what happened with johnathan before she got with him and I don’t like it it’s actually toxic. And I get what Eddie was trying to do but he shouldn’t give Steve hope cause if it was anyone who would have gotten dragged in the water Nancy would have still went in without hesitation and any of the other team for that matter that’s what they do they all help each other without hesitation idk if I’m just being over dramatic or not but they all need to just let each other go and grow as better people

To be fair u cant say henry chose to be alone, he said himself that he never fit in with the other children, plus he had powers & saw into peoples minds as a child from such a young age. The fact that it shows him first learning on animals he captured & he also mentioned his mom getting him help from a doctor he wanted to escape. Confirms for me that Dr brenner is the real villain for taking all these kids and treating them like lab rats, Henry may have had issues but Brenner first having sessions with him growing up, & then raising him after his coma and keeping him for all those years definitely made him worse or the way he was. I think he truly wanted to help Eleven & probably grew to hate & resent the rest. However, notice how in S1 Papa was trying to train El by making her crush a caged Cat. He mostly encouraged Henry to do that to learn & show the Dr his strength & abilities, like he always enjoys. Papa may truly care for them but hes not a good father and did some real damage to all the kids including 1. I also noticed how Henry/1 didn't kill Papa back then, when he had the opportunity, he left him knocked out. He was only taking Eleven with him but still spared Papa most likely because of the messed up "Papa" bond they had, he was with him for at least 10+ years. We even see Eleven come to that realisation too, about Papa being the real monster, next episode.

That's not a kid/child/teenager. That's a guinea pig/weapon, raised in lab, trained to do Brenner's bidding. The only problem with the "kid" is that he can kill people with his mind, also he kinda was a sore loser and a bit of a narcissist. Brenner should've put down that kid, not just give him a few shocks.

They saying for Hop to attack is dumb cuz even if he did attack it wouldn't do much, it might make the fire go out, and they would die, or at least Hop might miss or the way the Demogorgon was attacking might hit Hop and kill him. Not getting close and making sure the monster doesn't come close is smart.

Henry was cast down to the Upside Down like the Bible describes Satan being cast down like lightening. The word El is a Hebrew word for god. In season one El comes out of the gate which a LOT of people described as a “female part” so she was “reborn”. An antichrist reference.

37:10 37:50 When Eleven channeled her memory from when she was born, I don't think it was that she was channeling happy memories. Rather, she was still using what One/Creel/Vecna had taught her and channeling her anger. Here, rather than simple points in one's life, I think Eleven channeled her rage over the entire life that had been robbed from her.

I love the idea of Joyce being Joyce at Vecna, bitching him out as deserved. It’d be so good. Wish you’d left in the moment of Eddie talking to Steve about Dustin, it’s one of my favourites. Laughed at the running ‘strongest high schooler’ gag. When you’re done this, you should do Umbrella Academy or Haunting of Hill House. UA is anime-like, and HHH is a horror show that’s really about relationships. I’d love to hear your thoughts on them.

Most of the times people say or believe they wouldn't do this and that just because of mentality, education, attention, love they got but despite of being good or bad characters, they change once they get that true power. Most of the viewers tend to ignore Eleven is not so innocent either. She has blood on her hands and vengeance in her eyes. Back in school yard she would've obliterated the bullies but is that the punishment that they really deserved in our civilised and so conventional society? One has some solid points in his speech up until he goes on a murderous rampage. Obviously this is fictional but I can't deny some parallels with a real life recent situation that happened in Colorado Springs. That guy is a Vecna type. Bullied all his life, abandoned by his father, is confused by society that tells him he can identify every day as something else, no God reliance, no true friends or no friends, goes on club where probably was rejected for being overweight and look what happened. True power resides imo in being able to control it. I can do this and that but I won't because morals, faith et cetera. Anyway we'll never know cause nobody experienced it. Great show, love your crew, keep it going 👍🏻😎.

I will say that I disagree with this comparison you are making, see, what I personally love about Henry/001/Vecna is that he didn't have and apparent outside justification for his actions. A lot of modern villains, they have a sad story of abuse and misery that explains their descents to evilness. With Henry, it is implied that he was "off" since birth. He himself says in his monologue that he was different from other children, but at the same time it doesn't seem like he cared too much. Victor clearly loved him very much and his sister didn't even got an interaction with him. His mother, as he says, correctly guessed that he was the one torturing the family and hated him *for doing that* not previously. And her method of help was looking for a professional to try and cure him for that. In his monologue, I got the impression that he was born with an antisocial disorder. He is incapable of feeling love, or remorse or attachment. I loved that. I like to have a villain who is simply evil.
