And the fact Sengoku, his enemy, is willing to say it is proof of his intentions for me.

8:32 random side note: in the manga “Akainu” Sakazuki is not scared, and ofc as the other comments are saying, Akainu blasted half his face off. Not to be a power scaler but the anime really took whitebeard’s character and pushed it to the limits in terms of his portrayal. By this I also mean that in the anime Whitebeard is throwing way more attacks, in the manga i think he only threw two attacks lol. Either way he’s still a great character, but some fans can be annoying when they try to use the anime to say “this character slaps this character”.
