In my understanding I thought that the first sacrifice was Bojji. Him being labeled as "cursed" has to do with something either Bosse or Miranjo (or both). No way a giants kid has 0 power. Maybe it's some kind of deal with the Devil that came out of Bosse, where as Bojji was a sacrifice not for his lifespan, but his giant powers? The Devil pointing and laughing Bojji ain't a coincidence.

my current theory is that sicne its been said that the King has done this before, that to stop him, they cursed Bojii since the King would not have wanted to ressurect inside a weak body and even if he did he would have never become strong, even more making me think that him being deaf and mute also where put as a safety against the King

Kage once again with the elite support skills: Voice of the King, getting Bojji alive to Despa in the first place, carrying that letter and that money (throwing in his extra stolen goods to pay for Bojji's education), cooking the grub, shouting the words of encouragement, being DA REAL MVP like always.... And Despa is hilarious. I wasn't sure what to make of him at first. Was worried Bojji would get scammed or worse, but then the poisoned food scene was too funny and him coming home after getting wrecked had me laughing out loud. He's legit a weirdly funny/interesting character (not unlike how Desha is kind of weirdly funny, but with a different vibe of humor). There's a lot more to him, of course, but the same is true for nearly all of these characters. I don't want to spoil much about what was said at the end about "I have sacrificed another son" or whatever he says, except to point out that things are just now hinting at the deeper story that is going on (and stuff is still being revealed in the more recent episodes). I hope these three (and everybody else) enjoys getting 5 more questions for every 1 thing that gets answered... because that is where we are now. Enjoy~!

I'm honestly surprised that Despa didn't get the Reigen Arataka treatment from fans; just absolutely frothing at the mouth thirsty for this garbage rat-man with a heart of gold. Sure, Despa wasn't as over-animated as Reigen was. But they both got a lot of similarities. Mentor/father-figure to neurodivergent student (I was going to say child but I don't know how old Bojji is exactly; there's a chance Bojji's an adult), money-grubbing charlatan that gives people their money's worth, gives his student a major confidence boost while legitimately helping him, hot in like a rat-man sort of way, got a dumptruck-ass, charismatic and can sling bull with the best of them, etc.

I think the main difference is Despa can actually help Boji, they laid it out all in one episode, with Reegen, he was a good influence on Mob's personality and mental state yes, however, he was lying to Mob for a good while and had no psychic powers for a minute (I actually still like Reigen)

In my understanding Bosse asked for power prior to him meeting his first wife, and Miranjo translated the Demon's rule/catch is that he'll take power from his family. Bosse then said that he has none, and the demon said then your kid as in when you have one, hence, the curse on Bojji became real when he was born. He had a another child who will not have a curse on which then he sacrificed for a cause we're still not clear on yet.
