From what I remember if you choose to save Louis, Violet's going to have her finger cut off. Meanwhile if you choose to save Violet, Louis is going to get his tongue cut off. I don't dislike either of the two; neither of them is less than the other in my opinion but I'd choose to save Louis. Because, imagine losing your ability to speak. That shit would be frustrating. I like Louis. He WAS mad that his best friend get killed but you can somewhat see on his face that he doesn't actually hate them as he's trying to make it out to be. He's conflicted. Out of others, I understand that for him, Marlon's death mattered more than the fact Marlon gave Tenn's older sisters away. Marlon was his best friend, of course he'd be conflicted with his feelings. Imagine your best friend did something horrible. He had stronger attachments with Marlon and they all grew up together since the apocalypse started. Violet is on Clem's side because she's not really close with Marlon anyway and she had a thing with Minnie before. So, of course, it's easy for her to turn away from Marlon, but not Louis. Louis was definitely heartbroken when he found out the truth. But since he was Marlon's best friend, he had hope Marlon could somehow atone, that's why he was mad at AJ - because AJ took away that chance. I'm on Sheera's side on that debate. Marlon is unarmed, he admitted the charge against him, and the whole community should've be the one to decide what to do with him. Cause like Sheera said, they just got there. Clementine was only involved because she decided to check what was going on. She was a witness then things went south so Marlon was scared. So, at that point, he's no longer a threat. Therefore, what AJ did was uncalled for. Yes, Marlon did lock Clem in the basement but we all know she's strong and smart to just die like that because she's had more experience than those other kids. She's been in worse situations and had been in battlefields. Yes, Marlon did point a gun at Clem, but Clem managed to disarm him. When all of that are managed to be countered, it's an invalid excuse to kill him. But of course, that doesn't make AJ a bad person. AJ is just 5 or 6. His deeds aren't justified but he's still a child who didn't know better.

@@kingsbury5259 from a survival standpoint yeah, but at least violet gets one of her eyes back so she’s not completely blind, and she’s no longer mad at clem at the end. meanwhile louis loses more than just a body part- he loses a huge part of his personality (his singing, humor, even basic communication with others). he might still be able to play the piano and communicate through actions, but his voice is what adds to his character and what makes him so unique. plus, the added traumatization of being purposely mutilated after spending a lot of the apocalypse in a semi-sheltered group.

He traded away his people and clearly stated he would do it again. He also murdered Brody. However, AJ being a five year old should not have made that call to kill Marlon.
