Overhaul didn't immediately react to what was happening, I liked that the terror slowly set in as he started to realize for the first time there was no way out of this situation, he was a man who didn't understand consequences because there were none as far as he was concerned, as long as he could dismantle and put things back together to "fix" them. So now he gets to live in a similar state of helplessness that he forced Eri to live in.

I think a large part of the pain for overhaul after they took his arms was that without his quirk he can no longer restore The Head/his father figure and he'll have to live with that which imo is more painful than killing him. He deserves it but man i feel bad for the father figure.

He didn't cut open Eri because he enjoyed it, he had this twisted mindset of "i can restore people anyway" and needed Eri for his grand plan. He's doing ALL of THIS for this one man he adored oh so much and in the end he got the worse possible ending. Gotta give him props for his dedication and commitment to his adoptive father (i wished they had shown more of Overhaul's past, but oh well)

@@ob1934 can she tho? she didnt heal deku's injuries from prior to the fight only the ones that were fresh, the way i think he quirk works is like what overhaul said its not simply rewinding of the flesh its rewinding of the species plus she has no idea on how to use her powers, instead since overhaul is still alive i would use resources to find a way to return his arms(there has to be someone out there with a quirk that can) and then use the fact that pops is in a coma to get him to show them how eri's power works in the sense of reversing the effect on miro and in return allow him to fix the old man

@@wowbaka The best healing quirk we've seen is Recovery Girl's, and even then its extremely limited. She can't fully restore Deku's shattered arms, so I doubt she could recover Chisaki's missing arms. And with that, I doubt there's a healing quirk in this world that could heal injuries as serious as that, which is a good thing, since that keeps the consequences more real. Maybe he'd be able to get prosthetics, but they wouldn't allow him to use his quirk. Hopefully, the damage done with Shigaraki's decay would also prevent him from using prosthetics, and he'd be left not just quirkless, but armless, and therefore harmless.

Sadly, Nighteye pretty much had to die here. His Quirk alone meant that it would make it difficult for the Villains to be capable of making any real headway against the Heroes, since Nighteye could just see it coming ahead of time. So for the sake of the narrative, Nighteye had to die....not to mention his death serving as a necessarily brutal and blunt reminder to Deku & Mirio of what the cost of *losing* to a Villain would likely be for either of them....that if they were to ever *lose* to a Villain, it would very likely mean their death. Basically showing them that they could win a thousand fights, but they could only ever lose *one* fight.

They didn't have more people watching overhaul because there weren't enough heroes. Most of the big names that participated in the raid were injured and had to go to the hospital and the rest were likely protecting Eri since Overhaul doesn't pose anywhere as big of a threat without his status in the Yakuza. His loyal followers were all captured and he didn't have the key component of his plan so he was essentially left with nothing.

Reason that there were no top pro heroes escorting Chisaki was because Chisaki always covered his tracks. Before the day of the raid, it couldn’t be proven that Chisaki was doing something terrible, so the Shie Hassaikai were just recognized as small time yakuza that weren’t that important.

They have Eriee(sp?) who’s quirk is rewind, which can heal/reverse injuries, so can hisekai’s. They could have easily fixed Night eye and Vermillion. Still a fantastic series.

I forgot about that, and even though overhaul could control his quirk i guess there was probably no way for the writer to find a way in the script for them to bribe overhaul to save Nighteye. Personally, I just didn’t like the fact that the character was introduced and then killed off so quickly, but that’s why I’m not a writer and “whomever” is.

capnumericka Overhaul thinks heroes are a disease and would never help them unless it benefited him. He would probably blackmail and demand Eri be returned to him in exchange for helping Nighteye. The way I see it if you can make your characters memorable and stand out then the amount of time we spend with them shouldn’t matter. Other examples of this would be Kite from Hunter x Hunter or Zeppeli from Jojo Bizarre Adventure.

KnuckleCracks 2.0 kite and zeppeli both had more screen time than Nighteye. I’m just complaining because Nighteye was such a fantastic character. I really wanted to see him more. I wanted to see his and All Mights relationship work out, and flash back. But I guess that’s one way to bring him back still. It’s Wishful thinking!But don’t tell me. Chisaki got MAD screwed over. He needs his hands to use his quirk, and having both hands cut off means he can't even heal the head of the Yakuza who he put into a coma.
