I think Shinjuro is just really guilty about what happened to Rengoku. His wife’s death was already bad enough, but the guilt of Rengoku dying in battle is painful too. Akaza even said that Rengoku was not honed to perfection yet, something that could’ve happened if Shinjuro continued to train Rengoku. I honestly feel bad for Shinjuro.

Hello,from Japan. Japanese pronunciation is exactly the same for sun breathing and fire breathing. Tanjiro may confuse sun breathing with fire breathing. So I think it ended up being a conversation like that. Tanjiro asked Shinobu if she knew fire breathing in butterfly mansion.(S1 ep25) So Tanjiro considers Hinokami Kagura to be fire breathing.

Demon Slayer has been using the CG characters ever since the beginning of the show. Watch Season 1 again and in a lot of scenes where the characters are just walking or far away, it's usually the CG. It's actually quite frequent throughout Season 1, and I was surprised when I 1st noticed too 😂😂

For example there is a noticeable drop in quality for the action in Attack on Titan from seasons 1-3 to season 4. Is there a legitimate reason for why they switched to CGI? Yes. Does it mean that it looks as good? No. Ufotable mixes the two very well to the point that when you notice the CGI it doesn't bother you.

Shinjuro (Rengoku's dad) is misunderstood greatly. After losing his wife he became cold towards his kids as he didn't want to lose them next. Rengoku obviously noticed that and carried on his mother's wish of helping the weak with his strength. For the drink scene, after hearing 'take care of yourself' he drops the sake (not because it was empty) but because he was also keeping his sons dying wish, you could also take it that even after all his poor treatment Rengoku didn't resent his father which completely broke him.
