Oikawa’s “Yahoo” is one of my favorite things ever. He’s the best and he deserves more respect than what he gets, tbh. Oikawa (and Karasuno’s Guardian Deity) are among my favorite characters. Plus, this episode doesn’t even show Oikawa’s abilities, especially since he wasn’t acting in his capacity as the main setter. Oikawa’s a great setter, but I’d argue that he’s an even better strategist, and this episode just doesn’t show that. But he’s a great character and every episode that he’s in is amazing.

The little giant is an old student who was a student at Karasuno when Hinata was in elementary school(?) He was a short player who could really jump, just like Hinata. The little giant got popular, like how they showed Hinata watching a match of the old Karasuno team when he was biking. The little giant is who inspired Hinata to get into volleyball in middle school (but as you remember, he was the only member since there was no male volleyball team). So he trained by himself with the help of others through middle school, gathered some friends and entered the tournament where he played Kageyama. That is why in this episode where they were going home together, Hinata asks Kageyama if he joined Karasuno because of the little giant too. (Which Kageyama did not since he failed to get into the first high school he wanted, and so he chose Karasuno because of the rumored coach Ukai who was amazing).
