I used to sail a Pacific Seacraft 37 around Southern California in the mid-80s. She had a green hull and was named Swea' Pea! Great boat!

Pacific Seacraft boats are built to go through hell. I remember when they first produced the 20-foot world cruiser Flicka. It just blew everyone away. Quite a few Flickas are still around and making blue water voyages. William Crealock was one hell of a designer. Designed the old ( over built ) Columbia boats of the 60s. The Cabo Rico, Clipper Marine and Coronado among others. Thanks for the flashback
Was jus there last wk..swells werent bad ..beautiful island

Another great video. Congrats to Esteban on the new (old) boat. Those old Pearsons are bullet-proof. I saw that Triton listed on Craigslist and my mind started spinning over all the things I might do on her but I'm on the big, big island and couldn't make it happen. Looking forward to more of your adventure on Kauai and the delivery.

Are you still going to make the voyage to Hawaii? That will be an incredible trip in an M17. I'd like to follow along.

I've found that the gift that is only for you is in travel and pictures and video can't capture it. Filming the stars while underway is basically impossible but that's one of the reasons to go out. I'm retired Coast Guard and the things I've seen at sea are hard to describe or believe.

Here is a video I made talking about ways to get on boats and gain experience, kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKfYh5WFr9B8Z6c hope this helps
@gwyatt182 жыл бұрын
Just watch a few KZbin videos (search “sailing basics”), practice in a dingy or Hobie on a lake for a few weeks, and then sail across the Pacific. I’m only half joking. As long as you have a high base-level of common sense, it doesn’t take very much at all to get going.

Find a Sunfish/Laser type boat. Sail the heck out of it and sell it to the next noobie! Good Luck!
