Dear Subscriber, Greetings from Norwich! I'm truly heartened to hear that my video was helpful to you. It's always a pleasure to connect with fellow yachting enthusiasts, especially those embarking on this wonderful journey for the first time. Your choice of the Ohlson 38 is commendable. It's a classic, well-crafted yacht known for its sturdy build and excellent sailing characteristics. I've had the pleasure of sailing similar vessels and each journey brings its own set of unique experiences and learnings. Whether it's navigating the calm waters on a serene day or facing the challenges of a gusty afternoon, every moment spent on these yachts contributes to our growth as sailors. I'm curious to hear about your adventures and experiences with the Ohlson 38. How have you found the sailing experience? Have you had any memorable voyages so far? Do you know about the Ohlson 38 and Ohlson 35 Facebook group? Thank you once again for reaching out and for your kind words. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your yachting experiences. Fair winds and following seas, Luis Neto

I can tell you're an engineer when you put the bolt back to avoid losing it. A little tip, wind the PTFE clockwise ( same direction the nut would turn ) it can't loosen then when you tighten the nut. Really admire what you've done

Thank you for the insightful tip and your kind words! It's always rewarding to exchange knowledge with fellow DIY enthusiasts. Your suggestion about winding the bolt clockwise is indeed a smart approach to ensuring a secure fit. While I'm not an engineer by trade, I deeply appreciate the intricacies of mechanics and the importance of precision in every task. Your support and admiration mean a lot, and they motivate me to keep sharing my journey. Let's continue learning and growing together in this fascinating world of DIY and beyond. #EngineeringTips #DIYCommunity #ContinuousLearning 🛠✨

Always a good idea to place a string attached wooden bung next to the through hole...

You seem quite knowledgeable about boat maintenance. Have you done some before or have you been studying the various aspects in preparation for this boat refit? I like your methodical approach.

Certainly, the experience with my mother also plays a crucial role in my journey. Her decision to send me to train in carpentry, although based on a misunderstanding, was a pivotal moment. It exposed me to the world of hands-on work and ignited my interest in DIY projects. That early experience, though brief, laid the foundation for my methodical approach to problem-solving, be it in hair design or yacht maintenance. It’s a wonderful example of how sometimes, even the unexpected turns in our life can lead us to develop valuable skills and passions. So, I’m grateful for that experience and the unique perspective it has given me.

I would put waterproof grease or anti seize on the engine mount threads
@From_Refugee_To_Yacht_Owner Жыл бұрын
I will do that in the new ones as I have replaced the old ones. Thanks for your input. Keep the tips coming.
